Something wrong with the market
-
Something is very off here. There has to be cheating going on, or something. I was wheeling and dealing on some LS cards and suddenly (at about 3:00 pm EST) the market just crashes in a way that makes 1929 look like a minor panic.
Cards are decreasing in buy now value and sell now value simultaneously, while buy orders are going lower and lower until there aren’t any.
This is happening all within a half hour. What is going on here??

Everybody wants some stubs for Delgado
-
Yeah it doesnt make much sense. Most LS diamonds dropped by at least 10 percent within 10-15 minutes.

I would have never thought of that.

Never flip on content days near the release of new content. Market almost always dips a bit. If you want to come in and scoop some cards up now and sell them in like a week when they balance out that might not be a bad move tho.

The FOTF cards took a nose dive and stupid me was trying to flip. They are in Chase packs now. No market manipulation. Just a content drop. I made a similar mistake. But as stated, they will rebound.
-
It’s because of Delgado and Ketel
-
This happens all the time when new content drops. That is why it is best not to flip LS Cards unless you are aware of the calendar and pay attention to statistics,
-
they give you the schudule of when there releasing content for this exact reason.. I sold all my cards off this morning for this reason as i do everytime the schedule says theres a decent new release of cards coming

I can’t make any profits on some cards because they have 300 sell orders for one price that essentially keeps the buy now price low.
-
Don't flip player cards during content drops

Wouldnt worry too much on that, all of those you see: they take a long time to complete with all the over bidding and the margins become nothing. so afterwards the person will either be frustrated with how long it took or lack of profit in it and either have played themselves out of stubs or will either give up trying to flip or do a lot lesser quantities in the future.

Then flip another card. This should be obvious.

It could be that the person put in all his buy prices before he went to bed. Already knew the amount that would turn a respectable profit. Listed all 300 orders for that price. And has already moved on to a different card and doesn't care about the time it will take for these to sell. Now this other guy wants to flip for a big profit but he is flipping during peek hours when the margins narrow.

Yeah, I got screwed over, I bought Votto a few days ago, I apparently put two bids in, the won I won at like 13k and another for 11k that went through yesterday. Had to sell the one I didn't need for 9k. So I not only paid 5k more than if I'd have waited, I lost more than 2k by accident on a 2nd card.

Could be playing the long game, but almost no one displays that kind of patience anymore.
i dont know what the margins were when they started but when i saw them they were less than 50 stubs after tax and continuing to shrink. even if they hold till the market goes back up- the sheer time involved has to be very frustrating. -

After that I may adjust.
