Been playing nonstop for Rizzo since Thursday

I think it’s set up this way so you really need to grind if you want to sell the higher Diamond cards for profit and skip the POTM. That’s all I’m interested in tbh, and it’s a lot harder to get the free 50-80k compared to last year through a few dozen moments.

When I realized I wouldn’t finish the program in one sitting without buying the extra cards, I just started grinding the event to kill 2 birds with one stone. I finally unlocked Rizzo after a couple games this morning. I finished the program a few hours later; and I have 22 event wins…I love the grind and that it’s hard to get the program done in one day, but it was definitely excessive.

I'm in the same boat.
I am not much of a fan of the PXP missions anyway but this one they trickle the cards to you which artificially lengthens the time you need to finish it.
I am sure some people will like it. There are always people complaining that they want stat grinds back. This is that, just a different flavor.

Excited about? I will get him in the next couple weeks than have for collections. Don’t know why people are stressing over how quickly they can get him. -

I did the same, sold FOTF Trout, Acuna and Cron so i could go rent Pederson (he absolutely rakes), Owens, and France (i already had locked in Ward)
Just got Rizzo so i sold Owens, France, and Pederson back to the market and got my FOTF players back and had 20k in surplus so went out and bought the few cheap LS series cards left. 8 players left in the LS collection.

It took me one day. Now granted it was my day off and I played like 10 hours, but still lol.

This statement is what is killing me with this content. The community is asking for something to grind then we actually get something that takes a grind and it to much?
A grind should be a grind so this program is done the right way

You have to buy the other cards. Put them in your lineup, but not lock them in. Sell all the ones you would have pulled anyway since you'll get non sellable versions anyway after getting Rizzo. Or if you don't have the stubs to do the rentals, you gotta unlock them one at a time and get the 500 pxp 1 at a time.

Yeah you typically do need a lot of monthly awards players for the big collection

I finished this morning. It was a grind but the only part that was really annoying was the 2500 pxp with MA hitters. I only had Joc and Ward and it took a good while for that.
Rizzo is quite good though. I figured he'd be alright since he has a nice swing.
Still would have preferred JRam or Arenado. I know they have 90+ diamonds but I thought they might give them a more accessible card like they did with Trout and Acuna FOTFs.
Machado woulda been sick….
