I miss the little stuff like stadium specific commentary/cutscenes showcasing the uniqueness of every stadium I didn't intend to come across as a whiner

After spending some time with it I'm finding this game is just okay. Every mode has some kind of deal breaking BS associated with it. I'm probably going to shelve this thing and go back to 20. It looks good. But for me that's about it

A lot of us smelled this BS coming all the way back during the early cycle of The Show 21.

SDS has gutted core single player modes and gone all in on DD. It's sad, but no developers this side of Elden Ring have resisted the pull of "live service" and "persistent monetization."
Shame on SDS, and shame on all the other companies doing the same.

Just look at how badly they nerfed the market this year. It's still possible to make stubs without buying...but it's a TON harder. The new QS values and market bots basically ensured that you can't make good stub profits unless you pour money into the game first.

As an avid NHL player as well, I wouldn't say it's lightyears ahead of EA, it's probably a few miles but the gap is closing rapidly with how SDS is trending
