PoTM Lightning Gilbert or Lopez

Assuming they follow last year’s precedent of having every lightning card be either one of the players or pitchers of the month (the actual MLB ones), then we are getting either Gilbert or Lopez lightning this week, as I highly doubt they give the lightning to one of the recently promoted 90+ diamonds (ie JRam or Arenado).
-
I agree. Had Machado won the NL player of the month he would have been the most likely, but it's unprecedented to have a POTM lighting have a high live series card this early. I think the only 2 times its ever happened were Yelich 18 and JRam 20, which were both in September
-
I'd actually really like either of these. I know most people want hitters but Robbie Ray was my favorite POTM along with Votto last year. Well O'Neil was great too. Semien and Buxton were fun for a bit. I couldn't stand Schwarber(I couldn't hit with him) even though he was everyone's end game catcher till Foxx came out. So, basically they were all good and I have no point.
Oh...but Ray was a top 5 SP for me.

Don't sleep on Tylor Megill 4-0 1.93 ERA 0.86 WHIP

He might get a PoTM card, but they have always given the lightning to one of the actual MLB players/pitchers of the month. And those were announced this afternoon for April (JRam, Arenado, Gilbert, and Lopez).

I did not see this post when I posted my thread. I think Gilbert or Lopez is most likely. Flip a coin. Which of their teams would benefit most from a diamond? I am going to say the Mariners since most people don't have Johnson and the Marlins have 91 Dontrelle Willis.
So my guess is Logan Gilbert
Now, I doubt anybody outside of Marlins and Mariners fans will be too excited about either option.

Did we have a lightning pitcher last year? I know they know we arent to high on lightning pitchers.
Wait, it was Robbie Ray

Lopez very much fits the desires of must have sinker cutter meta chad types

Nope. He won’t be lightning, but could get a card in the program.

Fair enough! My money was on JRAM b4 the roster update! Still could be i guess since it's different card category!

Yah, I'm bummed Jose Ramirez got upgraded because his lightning card would've been beast. Dude has such a sweet swing
-
I’m really excited for a Logan Gilbert card because…
- The Mariners need more representation in the early game (not a Mariners fan, but not a Mariners hater either.
And
- I’m a huge fan of the late great Gilbert Gottfried (RIP). We all need a little more Gilbert in our lives.

Hahahaha, yeah, sometimes I type Jack Kerouac style, stream of consciousness and whatever happens... happens.
But, I did love Lightning Ray. His windup along with Burnes is my favorite in the game among current pitchers mainly because it's so quick.
But of course there's also Woodruff, Hader, Hendricks.....here I go again.

Gilbert would be cool.
