For example here is a comparison between the LG C1 TV and the Gigabyte M32U Monitor on RTINGS.com
Hey thanks man. Those are the exact 2 I was looking at lol.
As you can see if scrolling down the M32U has a 7.1ms Response time and probably advertises 1ms. But it doesnt matter. Its a great Monitor.
Are you able to hit the 102 fastballs on the LG C1? When I played on a TV before they were just a blur.
Lol, yes. LG C1 was voted top gaming panel of the year for 2021 I believe. Its great. Just got to decide if you want 48in Infront of you or an ergonomic desk Monitor. The LG C2 has been released and within a few weeks I believe they will have their 42in C2 out. So a little smaller directly meant for gaming.
Plus all 4 HDMI ports are 2.1, and it supports all HDR formats and Dolby Vision was is like advanced HDR.
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/best/by-usage/video-gaming
What's up with the permanent burn in they keep mentioning? I play this game alot sometimes 8 hrs at a time. I would hate for the scoreboard to be permamtly burned into the bottom right of the screen.

Meh you would be fine. Older OLEDs had a burn in issue for people watching certain news channels or using it as a monitor with the same bright background on all the time, but they have software built in to help those things now and there are a lot of testimonies out there from people running them for years with no issues. Yeah I had to really research that stuff before I bought mine. ;p; That M32U is a great Monitor though if you want to avoid that. Or dont need a TV.

Get the LG. Much better deal than an $800 monitor. As Chuck stated earlier, response time is a gimmick.

I have that display also....Questions (and thanks):
Since yesterday's 120hz update, what is your setup on the PS5? Do you turn on VRR for "non-supported games" and do you use 4k with HDR (automatic) on in the PS5 settings? I was thinking about running the game at 1080p and HDR off, but not sure if that is necessary now.
Also, do you have freesync enabled on the LG?

Yes, I run VRR for "non-supported games" and 4K with HDR. On my Series X it actually runs in Dolby Vision HDR but PS dont have that. Also PS shows VRR enabled when I use the overlay and so did Series X but on Series X I changed it to Freesync Premium.
-
Sony Ps5 need to support freesync premium
-
One BILLION PERCENT get the new LG C2 or G2 TV. If you haven't owned an OLED before you'll be blown away. Both support 120/VRR on all HDMI inputs, don't worry about response time numbers it's a bunch of bologna, you'll be fine. G2 is brighter.

You can get one with a 4 year protection plan for burn in if you are doing things that may worry you about that. The ones on Newegg.com right now come with free 4 year protection plans and 50-150 dollar GC with purchase. Some on Amazon have the 4 year protection too.

So I was looking at buying a new monitor, the mu32 or whatever that people keep mentioning on here.
But while I was shopping around I found some 65" Qled and Oled tvs that had me wondering. The tvs say that they support VRR, hdmi 2.1, 120hz on 4k all the stuff people on here have mentioned. My question is I noticed the tvs have ~10-15 ms response where as the monitors have sub 5ms response.
Is the difference in 10ms response tv and 1 ms response monitor, if they both have the same specs otherwise a huge deal?
It wont turn you into better player, like its not the missing piece of making a WS run or something imo. I play on a 55in TCL 6 series, with similar numbers to your TV and i have a monitor as well and i couldnt tell much of a difference. I also say i cant tell much between 60 fps game on a 60hz screen vs a 120hz screen so take my words with a grain of salt.

As long as it doesn't make me worse. I'm probably destined to be a 700-800 player forever anyway
