Matchmaking issues, and 120hz output.

I want 120 hz as well but we played for years at lower hz now all of a sudden can't give them a min to figure it out lol they will just wait turn off cross play for now its coming it's already there

I’d like an update and more clear communication. Will PS5 users be able to play at 120hz online or not? If so, when?
I’m very close to purchasing an Xbox and getting this game on game pass every year.

Have you played this game before? They just throw stuff out there all the time.
I’d just like some clear communication. I’m fine waiting if I know it’s coming.

They did say there working on it if you want a play by play I guess find a new game I just have patience at the end of the day it all works out

Play by play? I would be happy with one clear update that says they at least intend to allow 120hz online. I wish I was content with poor customer service like you are, but I’m not.
Retaining customers is a big deal in business and they are doing a poor job with it.

Yup gotta have it now apparently but 120 is in game so I would think there going to have it lol I mean Xbox does and you can play offline 120 it's just a matchmaking thing and I guess they need to update on the update on the update

The team is aware and investigating the recent issues with 120hz output and the impact it is having on matchmaking for PS users.
As other users have mentioned - if you're having troubles finding a match, you may want to try turning off the 120hz output option in the PlayStation settings.
- Settings -> Screen and Video -> Video Output -> Enable 120hz Output: Off
I'll reply again when I get further updates from the team.
EDIT: I know other users here on the forums have already mentioned it, but if turning off the 120hz output option resolved the issue for you, please reply and let me know. Thank you for your patience.
EDIT 2 04/27/2022: We believe the issue has been identified and the team is working to get it resolved asap. Thank you all for your responses and reports.
Turned off 120hz and matchmaking works again. Thanks!

More worried about adding old players then fixing a huge issue with PS5 users. The community that gave life to the Show. It would just be nice to have them address us. Instead, they have it “resolved” by telling us to turn our 120hz off. That’s not a fix. That’s not a supportive mod to the community. Keeping us in the dark is not cool. Hey guys, here’s the issue. Here is why. Here is what we are doing to fix. Meanwhile, Xbox has no issues at 120hz. Frustrating. Still much love, but dudes, just give it to us straight.

Is there an update on the 120hz online matchmaking issues? I saw a post saying the issue has been identified but that was 4 days ago. I still can’t play online with 120hz enabled.

This doesn’t sound like PS5 users will play at 120hz:
Fixed a bug that would prevent users from matchmaking online with 120hz Output enabled.

That’s what I’m saying! We already know the ps5 is capable of running the game at 120 hz because it works offline so I don’t think it’s a matter of VRR or hardware limits. Plus it’s already been confirmed from multiple ppl on Xbox that they play online at 120 hz. I truly believe the issue was just a matchmaking bug.

At least they made the decision easy for me not to spend any money on DD. -
