Thoughts on 2022 event lengths?

I may be in the minority but these events feel way too short. I understand that some max out the event with room to spare but I'm yet to unlock one of the event reward cards.
I felt like events were at their best a few years ago when wins awarded you tickets that you could exchange over the set of multiple events. I like this format better but the time/wins needed to unlock content better with previous years. It seems like over the last 4 or 5 years events have been more and more of a grind.
Not complaining or trying to start something toxic but just curious what everyone else thinks.

I like them better than the month long 3 part events, but a week to 10 days is the sweet spot I think
-
At minimum they should last a week
At most, no more than 2 weeks unless it’s a multi part event that changes criteria each week over a 2/3 week span

Yeah I am very much in favor of the 7-10 day events is the sweet spot. I can also get behind the weekend style event if they are here and there.
-
They are not good for the average player who is AS caliber and has, you know, an actual job
-
Too short imo. They basically demand your attention if you hope to complete them. I think 1 week would be right. That way you have 2 weekends.
-
Personally, I think it's a good idea to have the events shorter, making the rewards harder to get. I am not one to "pick and choose" my events, since I feel the need to complete everything, which is tough with an actual job and such... but now I will. None of the cards are "must haves", but they're all usable so far, which is exactly what the game should be. More events = more cards. In my opinion, this will create something we've all be craving for years: lineup variety.
Again, coming from someone who wants to complete everything:
Take a step back, focus on whatever is important. You don't need every card from every event. And if you do want it, it'll probably only be like 20k stubs at most. -

Get off your high horse paI. I work 60 hours a week and have three kids. These events are a breeze look at it is getting four or five wins a day which you can do in an hour maybe an hour and a half. If you want the cards for free for future collections you will find a way to do it otherwise just keep grinding conquest and other brain dead offline content with zero reward.

I like it a lot it means there's a lot more diamond cards for collections in circulation. If you had an event that was only once every two weeks you're only getting two or three cards a month. The way they are doing it now you are getting like six to eight to 10 cards a month. All events and all rank seasons and all Battle Royale and I'll offline modes are not meant to be completed by everybody. There's not enough time in the day so you have to pick a path and decide which cards you want. I like that.

Exactly. I played most events last year, and I haven't played one this year enough to earn any cards

High horse? I work the market to afford these players because I don't have the time or skill to get them in the time frame they allow although saved event lineups is making that a bit easier as im not wasting time setting a lineup on repeat
No high horse here. But it's rich that a WS caliber player telling others to get off their high horse because they can quickly curb stomp others into quick event wins. I got no problem with you getting your quick wins and rewards but you seem to have a problem with lesser skilled players getting the rewards too otherwise why would you have an issue with events being 7 days instead of 4?

Yeah, sometimes I'll get on a streak and go 4-1 or 5-1 in events, but also 0-2. 4-5 wins in an hour means people quit right away and you're stomping them. 20 wins for me means 40-50 games. No one who works 60 hours and has 3 kids has time for that, unless he's a fat tub of goo and his wife takes care of everything while he sits and plays his stupid little video games.
We can't all be "winners" like him.

I got no issues with good players getting their rewards. None at all. Being really good at the game will always mean they get cards faster than those of us who are not. But, letting the average people eat as well.
I have collections done and haven't played yet because I've been playing events. People should have time to try and do both to a moderate degree IMO.

Every reward should not be attainable by everybody. Look at world series it's not even hard to get anymore. People on Twitter now want it to be 20 wins or 200 innings. Why not just give everything out for free and everybody has the same lineup? The offline players have cards I don't have because I don't want to play offline and that's totally cool but there should be things that are harder to obtain and I think having events be shorter is better because then that's more cards in the end. If you only have two events every month then we're only looking at anywhere from two to four event cards per month as opposed to like 10.

My favorite is the multi part events...it might take more wins, but I love it being spread out and giving more time to complete it. Outside of that, I prefer around a week. This year I haven't touched events (outside of Moonshot for a bit) because each time a new one drops I look at it and go "nope, not going to happen in three days." I just can't always lock myself down during the small windows this year. There may be times I can, but most I won't be able to. It feels to me like they are trying to find places to put cards they had in TA and daily moments last year and having tons of events seems to be one of the paths they are using.

I agree I was surprised by all the events being so short but I think they have so many cards and this is their way of rolling them out
