Well, I can no longer successfully put a bat on ball online. I am [censored]. I can absolutely dominate with my ballplayer on legend difficulty in road to the show, but can’t get more than 3 measly singles against 84 hunter greene on all star with a fully loaded diamond squad. Complete game shutout with 15 K’s. He still had 1/3 stamina after throwing 120 pitches and could continue to throw every single pitch type on the black. I am so frustrated with myself. Even took 3+ days off from online play and still absolutely sucked when I came back today. My once team average of .350 has plummeted since getting to all star ranked seasons. I guess I’m not cut out for this….

Deep breath. Take a few pitches. Don’t become predictable. Take a strike. Patience. You gonna be fine king.

Trust me I try, but when I take pitches. They’re just painted on the black. I wish I could show the pitch chart of the whole game. Out of 120 pitches, a max 3 came over the middle of the plate. And it was constant 99 on the down and away to both sides of the plate. Was completely no chance to try and hit that pitch for me. I’m just not good. People complain about meatballs being forced into your pitching. I don’t think I ever saw a meatball the whole game. And if I did, I’d predictably miss it since I am hot [censored] anyway. Too bad there’s nothing to do offline the next few days since I’m done with everything.

Offline I can hit anything, and I consider legend difficulty as comparable reps to online all star. But it sure as heck doesn’t feel like it. I instantly lose my eye and can’t lay off anything, and I get extremely antsy since I’ve become used to the AI pitch style.

Yes, and there’s no way I’m switch to timing. I want to have control over a pci, even if my thumb is literally disconnected from my brain.

Yeah, that’s understandable. My learning started exclusively online and then I went offline, so my experience is different. However, from my perspective, playing online on All-Star can legitimately be tougher than legend offline because your opponent picks up on your tendencies and adapts.

Jesus… I thought me hitting the ball every time vs trash players was bad… 15ks? I dot. Think I k 15 times in 10 games… I’m more mad at the feedback on good hits. It’s like the game nerfs you at times and buffs the opponents….. I’ve lost 3 in a row…. No one hit the ball well according to feedback vs me… but broken bat hits and random homeruns beat me… yet good swings and constant outs you lose. This game is as garbage as 18, it’s a carbon copy of the dookie randomness of taht game. Forces hanger, rewards poor swings and doesn’t reward good ones other than perfect….just a bad experience.

I’m just going to tell you right now if you can play RTTS on legend you are more than capable of being a winning player in DD. It could be your internet, or TV not being in game mode, but being able to spot pitches offline on legend with zone hitting is more than half the battle of this game. It’s like 80% tbh.

Just chill, and no it’s not easy, I’ll tell you first hand I’m more guilty of that than anyone. I don’t even need to be playing, just hovering over the “play ranked season” makes my hands start to sweat like I just dropped 30 in Verdansk playing from inside a sauna. But none of that helps, the amount you need to move the controller while hitting is so minute everyone over compensates and the results aren’t good. Look for a pitch in a spot, don’t try to hit everything in the zone. Also take some pitches, , it doesn’t matter if there balls or strikes, the game is programmed to have that help you. Don’t worry about your offline averages, nobody playing this game can match there offline averages when playing online. Even more true for the ERA. There a ways to improve, but if you aren’t enjoying it, it’s just not going to happen. So honestly play online for the fun of striking out a real person, or earning a walk off against a real person.

    Step 1 is enjoying it
Step 2 is getting better at it
Step 3 is complaining about it

For those of us who struggle to hit, trust me the game is not nerfing anything or helping us. I have never won a 9 inning game online. There's no way for a new player to catch up to guys who've been at this for years. I just wish SDS would have honored the idea of more content for offline players like they kept 👏 about in their steam. I've been done with everything for a week and feel like I'm just running RIB from last year over and over with the mystery map. The big difference...that was December. This is 3 weeks after the release of the game.

If the pitches you’re taking are painted in the black you’re going in the right direction, you can’t do much with those anyway.

Play the event, it’s a less stressful environment and it’s all star also, so it’s good practice

But good gawd is it boring. I'm 3-0 and I think all 3 games were 1-0 won in extras with the runner starting on 2nd. It's a bunt cheese fest lol.

I'll just focus on BR and buy the rewards from this event. I hope the next one Is better. I always liked the all silver or all gold events.

I agree , this one is brutally awful. Second one in a row that I will buy the rewards and I usually max out every event. This game may lose me this year though, and I never thought I would say those words.

What’s going on with the Cubs logo? You backrunning (opposite of frontrunning… idk)? Dodgers looking good (sorry all, not trying to rub it in).
