Can anyone definitively answer this....

I just got done playing someone, whom I am going to assume (even though I know what happens when you assume) lived out of the country. I assume this because of his PSN ID, team name, logo, and the fact that the connection was BEYOND horrible.
When I called him/her out on the horrible connection; he/she proceeds to tell me that before the game starts; you can see your opponent's connection status and you can tell if it's good or bad.
I've never heard this and quite honestly I think it was just an excuse; because he stated that he has the best internet available, even though it felt like I was playing on dial-up.

Yes I can read. Where is my post does it say that I'm complaining about losing? I asked about whether or not you're able to see the connection strength between you and your opponent before the game.
I may have complained about their connection and if you would've matched up against them; chances are you would've done the same.
The connection was so horrible that it took 5-10 seconds between each pitch to bring up the pitch selection and you couldn't pause the game without spamming the pause button on the controller.

He may have been talking about the lineup screen. Do you scroll up and down a few times to see how responsive the connection is on the lineup screen.

Yes, but that doesn't always help. I know technically if you can do that without a 'stutter' it means that you could be the home team and the connection will be decent.
But there have been times that I've done exactly that and am the Away team and the connection isn't the best.
The way my opponent stated it was like you can see the connection strength like you used to be able to see it on Madden.
Maybe he was talking about what you're referencing.
But I can say during that game I was the Home team. Can't remember if there was stutter when selecting my pitcher.

Yeah no big deal man. There is no special way to see the connection. And its harder since last year to check the connection. Just dont let peoples chatter get to ya. Plus it could be great at first and then bad later on. Maybe on purpose. So, screw 'em.

Sending a message about the opponent connection is the crime here. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
As others have said, just move on.
Did you think that your criticism was going to help the opponent decide to change internet service provider? Perhaps you were expecting an apology from the foreign counterpart?
Maybe it's just me, but clamouring after a game to the opponent? Meh.
