After this sequence, I gave up 2 run shot. It's impossible to strike people out. Note that almost all of these pitches were changeup and sliders and the timing of my opponent was "very early" on almost all of them. This is just one example, you'll experience them yourselves I'm sure.
This is why I tend to hold off on online play until about June/July. The game is always unbalanced early on, at least from my experience. Can’t we just get a carbon copy of ‘17?
Oh man is miss that game, despite its flaws. That was the last game that was actually good imo.
17 was a classic video game, not just baseball. I still own a copy of it in my hall of fame videogame collection.

From my own feedback, I’m convinced Contact swing combined with having the outer PCI is the cause. Hitting feels very cheesy this year.

I am 100% convinced that if things stay this way, a lot of people who are still optimistic will come around in a few months from now.

You do? Mind me asking you what hitting interface you use? Because I'm a pretty decent pitcher and my K/9 is just non-existent. Anybody, literally people who swing at pitches that are IN the dirt, can keep at bats alive.
I'm 47 and don't practice, so not surprising. It's high velo and sinkers inside. Even when I sit on it, sometimes it's just a no-go.
Truth told, I haven't played a lot of RS (4-4), and in events okay. But it is true that I have fouled off a ton of dirtballs that should have been misses, and so have my opponents. They need to nerf the outer PCI big-time, and maybe get rid of outlier to compensate.
Zone, of course.
Just switch to timing man. It's not as good as zone but its close, and with not having to worry about moving your pci it's easier yo lay off thr balls outside the zone.

Back when it was exciting to get a gold card. I remember getting like an 83 gold Davis Ortiz and selling him for like 25,000 stubs. These games have way too many cards.

Why is Getting Retention Right Important? Clearly the more time a player spends with your game, the more opportunity for monetisation there is, whether you are selling in game items or serving rewarded ads. Lasting retention can have a significant impact on revenue.
yep.See Call od Duty, they ruined it for old school players, but they retain new ones becuaseo of their retention methods or microtransactions, lengthy Camo grinds and SBMM...they make money off it though. If they didn't they would change it up.
The Show is the same, if you can never get a hit or lose every single time they would quit. This is also why mini seasons, conquest and moments exist. BC if they like DD but can't do have fun only, they can do that stuff and still get rewards. (which is fine, im not knocking it)

After this sequence, I gave up 2 run shot. It's impossible to strike people out. Note that almost all of these pitches were changeup and sliders and the timing of my opponent was "very early" on almost all of them. This is just one example, you'll experience them yourselves I'm sure.
Only solution is to quit playing events/BR on all-star difficulty and climb up to WS and enjoy legend gameplay.
I myself have been playing BR to build stubs so I can make a RS squad.
I personally have mostly enjoyed the game so far, knowing full well what to expect on all-star difficulty.
Lost a game 12 with trout on the line 10-11. The guy wasn’t a goon that was hitting lasers out off the foul pole after taking every pitch…..he was fouling off bad pitches, getting oppo bloops followed by bases clearing oppo gap shots. It was extremely frustrating, but at the end of the day I must win like 90-95 percent of my BR games, so ultimately even after all the BS I do think it evens out.
I personally am just trying to chill and enjoy the game. I do really enjoy the top spin line drive hits they added. Feels nice to hit a liner with top spin that dives in front of corner infielder for a base hit. They have also improved the timing on pulling balls for home runs which I appreciate.

From my own feedback, I’m convinced Contact swing combined with having the outer PCI is the cause. Hitting feels very cheesy this year.
Played a few games with Timing….it’s going to plague this game this year. Try it out if anyone is curious.
Whichever the underlying problem(s) might be, the game in it's current state is just not gonna cut it. I came to realize that after 1 day of playing, other people did too. I am 100% convinced that if things stay this way, a lot of people who are still optimistic will come around in a few months from now.
I agree with everything you have said so far. I’ve brought forward some of the same issues but don’t have your demeanor so I get blasted. At the end of all the debating…the hitting simply needs a major overhaul one of these years. I have my suspicions on why they insist on leaving it this way.
