Why did you remove the last name Hightower?

My last name has been removed too, but my first is still there and just as rare. Dont matter to me much though I dont use them. Just thought it was cool. Probably has to do with the rushed new announcers and getting them to say all the extra names.

Same lol, i was hurt when i seen my last name was gone but its in the first name section. Smh

I assume this has entirely to do with new commentary. It's really disheartening, it was bad enough that they would say all kinds of names that weren't even listed in the database, I can name a half dozen legends that they had rights to, but didn't have it in the database, not to mention a ton of the minor league prospects. Now they are removing names too. I just don't get it.

Yeah.. John Smoltz and Paul Molitor are examples of this.. I think the stadium announcer still says their names though.

I hope they add more throughout the year. I don't mind being Smokey Joe Stoner, but I would prefer to go back to Buddy Hightower.

Threw me for a loop when my player's last name was gone too. I've used the same player for like 4 Shows, and had gotten used to the announcers talking about him by name. Created him anyway, and, as it turns out, his being referred to as Number 20 doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Hope it's back in for next year though, or if at all possible later in this game.
