So im in all star and I suck at this game. My record is 12-11, but Im still vibing. Why is it when i win a single game in ranked the next game I play is against the next cardinal bird? I thought that it was supposed to match you with someone of similar skill level. Why was I matched up with someone who is 20-3, level 70 silver, and batting over .500 with their pitcher?

Not to upset you but the vast majority of players build teams before hitting ranked seasons. The first season is always the toughest for low level players because you have to fight through the mid and high tier players to find your place. Be patient after this season ends all of the higher tier players will start at 650 and you will never see that again. It happens the only way to get better is to play better people. I was awful last year to start and ended up making CS every season just keep grinding and you will get there.

Yep. That 20-3 guy likely was in the range of ranks in matchmaking because he hasn’t played enough to get to the higher levels yet. I haven’t ran into anyone like this yet ( my record may say I am that guy 12-2) but I am average. Eventually I will have a 25-17 type record but early on it’s like this as the above poster stated

I have found that there are not really any easy games in ranked. By now, just about every team has great cards, and there is the added bonus of facing your opponent’s best starters in succession.

Well for the millionth time, what level you are has no indication of how good you are.

Even record doesn’t mean much right now. I think I’m 19-3 but I just hit upper 700s. Nothing to proud of mowing through the lower divisions.

I played a guy last night. First game playing in HOF for me this year. He had a very good record. 17-4 or something. I beat him 10-1. I had 19 hits to his 5.

Some people just get lucky with matchups moving up and their records are inflated. It’s when you’ve been consistently hanging out in the 700-800s when it actually means something.
