I can’t hit him. He’s tough and frustrating.

Have been facing him more and more lately and it’s pretty frustrating. I then went and bought him, first game i get shelled for i think 6 runs in 3 innings. Gotta love it

Yeah, he takes a bit to get the hang of, but once you find the sequences you like, he'd deadly.

Same. He was brutal... And Gagne's Curve seems more like a 40 MPH Ephus instead of a 70 MPH Curve. He made me look like a fool for way more outs than necessary. LOL

His fastball online actually seems slower than his fastball in this showdown lmao

    I have a harder time with Lee Smith's 95 than Ryan's 102.

Point is - yes. Certain guy's velo seems different than the radar gun.

I've been saying this all year, Ryan is just my best SP for RS and online play - I need to find my latest online numbers but it was like 18-2, less than a 1.4 ERA, over 200K's with hardly any IP

Just an absolute animal I think he's at P4 for me right now

Just don't swing at the breaking pitches.

If you don't like Fernando, you definitely won't like Christy Matheson.

Fernando is tough. You can only look fast, You can cover both the screwball and the fastball by looking fast. If he throws you a curve or change, tip your hat and don't care that you swung early and looked like a fool.

And like the poster above said, in Season 11 showdown, don't swing at the breaking pitches. I think he's a little different in the RIB showdown though. I am practically looking screwball in the RIB. His breaking ball looks like it drops more in the 11th

Hahahahaha, yeah. If I could even get to Nolan I'd let you know. I'm housesitting and playing on a 60+ inch TV and I'm basically just striking out bigger. Can't wait to get to Nolan and really suck.

This game is horrible on a big screen.

It's really hard to hit for some reason. I feel like I have to swing super early. The graphics look amazing. I just suck right now.

I love it. If I stay up at night playing, I'll move a camp chair about 6 to 10 ft from an 82 inch.

My entire field of view is taken up and the detail is insane.

On the bright side, facing Pedro after Nolan is like taking candy from a baby.

Yeah Pedro is by far the easiest to hit out of all the bosses, him and Gagne.

Am I the only one who feels like they accidentally messed up with the coding on his fastball, where they actually made him throw 120mph instead of 102mph? His outlier fastball is so much harder to hit than any other imo.

Agreed. Plus this showdown was kind of boring. Basically just bunt for a hit. Sac bunt, sac bunt, sac bunt, win. Then I got to him and couldn't touch the ball.

Yeah. Nolan was so much easier to hit last year. As was Felix Hernandez. I’m kind of glad that they both have serviceable cards now, but I agree that Ryan is near impossible to hit.

They have yet to make a serviceable Bob Gibson, though. I really want his card to be good someday.

Yeah, his card thus year was great for offline play but I'm sure he's hittable online.......Not by me, but someone hahaha.
