You think I'm gonna waste a good 40 minutes of my time on a 9 inning game with this clown? I don't think so.
Well, to be fair....it would probably only take about 3 innings for him to throw his controller through the screen....so maybe 15 minutes? But yeah, I get it.
Even if it were just 5 minutes, those are 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
Good point, I'd offer you a friendly but I wouldn't be much competition for you. If you have any tips on how to improve my hitting, I'm always open to ideas.
What areas of hitting do you feel like you can improve the most in?
Identifying pitch type, getting my PCI to the ball more accurately and faster. To name a few. Also, laying off breaking pitches in the dirt and fastballs at my eyes.
Also, lefty against lefty can be a challenge for me.

I'd love to help but the things you mention, it's hard to give specific tips for those things because you will naturally develop these things over time and by repetition. Especially pitch recognition and PCI movement are things you develop by just playing a lot and often.
For laying off pitches you can make a gameplan just like real ballplayers do. For example you don't swing until you have 2 strikes in every count until let's say the 6th inning. That way you force your opponent to throw a lot of pitches and you'll have the ability to see a lot of them, which should make it easier to recognize them and therefore time them.
When I'm struggling and swinging at bad pitches because my ego is thinking I can hit every pitch out of the yard, I take a step back and see some more pitches and look for specific pitches for a while that I either like hitting or my opponent tends to throw a lot. That could be either a pitch type or a location. Unless they give you that pitch, you just take the pitch even if it's a strike. And then if your opponent starts noticing you're overly patient, they may get impatient and start pounding down the middle every first pitch of the at bat thinking you won't swing. Wouldn't hurt to try and swing every once in a while if you notice they do this. Just make sure you're not trying to hit pitches that are on the black unless you absolutely have to in a 2 strike count.

These are all helpful tips for sure. I'll give them a shot. Do you reccomend a difficulty or mode that I should try to work on this stuff?

Yes always practice on legend and if you want to work on your fastball timing, turn the pitch speed sliders all the way up.

I can relate to you a lot. Last year was my first year ever playing this game and while I loved it like you do, felt that I sucked at it. The only tip that ever helped me was one that @raesONE_PSN gave me at that time: as you keep playing and seeing pitches, you’ll improve. The reason it was helpful was realizing there wasn’t anything I was doing “wrong,” but simply that I needed more time and reps to figure it out.
I have played a ton since I picked up the game in May, 2020. Since that time, I’ve gotten exponentially better (I would dare to say I went from terrible to above average now) and I’m no spring chicken either (41 y/o). So yeah, as long as you stay patient with yourself and have fun, you’ll be good to go.

I can’t stop jamming the PCI.

Thanks, that's really good advice. Yeah, I tend to expect that because I'm knowledgeable about baseball that I should be really good. And while I'm fine against the cpu and completed the collections in my first year, I am just not good at online and tend to get discouraged when I can't accumulate any of the offensive stats for BR. I've not been able to complete any of the team missions in a single entry because I can only score 1-3 runs a game when I win and lose more than I win often getting shutout.
But you're right, just stick with it and try to keep learning because the more I play and the more pitches I see, the better I get. Thanks.

I’m the same way in BR. But I was able to grind out a 100 points with 2-3 wins each ticket. Plus getting lucky to get the total hits and bases and any player specific ones I’ll usually try and message my opponent to to see if I can get the hits I need and forfeit the game. Some times it works some times it doesn’t.

I suck at hitting for sure, but one thing that has definitely helped is using the same camera for pitching AND hitting. You see twice as many pitches that way.

Who cares?
Cared enough to comment
Care enough to get tired if people crying because they suck and lose.
Says the guy who's batting. 252 with a 44-29 record.
I tanked 25 wins to get Trout. I was 14-2 before trying. this game is so bad online and records don't mean anything.
Sure you were. 14-2 where the first 14 games were on Veteran and the 2 losses came once you hit All-Star difficulty. But hey I'm sure you weren't even trying, right?
lol dude that guy you are speaking with is an absolutely loser - he moans and cries all day - everybody laughs at him - just block him he is trash both as a player and as a human being
