Agreed. Outlier itself needs a rework, but its 3rd on the issues you have laid out here IMO.
#1 is stamina. Can't believe that lasted all year like that
#2. This may be an unpopular opinion but the no-hitter cards were a terrible idea. In previous years anything over 100 H/9 was more than good enough for a pitcher to be usable. Everyone says what a shame it is that Kershaw and Pedro have low H/9 but I don't think starters should have over 110 H/9 at all -
Pinpoint pitching ruined the game. You could throw 300 pitches in a start with degrom and he’d still be hitting 102 and dotting.

The main thing that has made pitching op is pinpoint imo. The stamina glitch only happens with pinpoint. Also, it has made control almost an irrelevant attribute because you can dot consistently with any pitcher regardless of control. That's why Nolan Ryan is so good this year, you can actually control where his pitches go. So you now have the ability to throw any pitch anywhere you want with almost perfect accuracy, and pitchers with disgusting stuff throwing 102 the entire game because stamina doesn't drain. Makes hitting extremely difficult

Ohtani is the weirdest to face in this game i feel like. I’m either getting dominated bad by him or teeing off on him like my name was Bryson. Never in between…i never know how to feel when i see his card in the matchup screen

First of all, happy new year to everyone. A new year means a new MLB The Show, which is more than welcome.
I think this year's game did some things well and other things not so well. Because of that I mostly spent my time playing BR and when I was done with that (grew bored of it) that I moved on to other games.
I installed the game again on my PS5 and now that I'm the US (people who know, I've explained). I've played about 20 RS games and one thing that I noticed more than anything is that SP are way too dominant. In those 20 games I did not once go the bullpen. Not once. So I have all these nice shiny players in my bullpen just sitting there. Because who needs Chapman, Kenley or Rivera when you can dominate 9 innings with a rotation of DeGrom, Verlander, Arrieta, Ohtani and Kershaw? Or any other good SP who can throw 140 pitches of 102mph before getting slightly fatigued? There is no balance here whatsoever.
Truth be told, I haven't played much competition in those 20 games, I'm only at the lower 800s. Maybe 3 or 4 guys were decent and they struggled mightily against my starters. I struggled as well, having to face DeGrom for 9 innings straight is hard on HOF and above. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. Sure, I won those games and hit a few bombs off of him. But it's hard. Too hard imo and not really fun.
The problem is a combination of a couple of things. 102 for the entire game is just BS. Even when you're in the yellow, you can hit that. A guy with insane per 9s used to have poor control or poor velo. Now pretty much every top tier SP has elite per 9s, elite control, elite velocity (99-102) and filthy offspeed to go along with it. There is no balance.
We used to only see this with a handful of RP/CP. And that made sense, because you could only use them for 1 or maybe 2 innings. But now, the bullpen has become obsolete. Hopefully this, amongst other things, will be changed for next year's installment.
You lost me at ps5, I hate you.... haha for real i'm 100% down with you plus if you combine connection issues 102 feel like 122 sometimes and it's just unplayable. I will never be elite, I'm too old but at least can I just enjoyed a good game W or L ?

Great job, Raes. You are spot on with everything. It would have been nice if SDS would have acknowledged these issues and just said “we can’t fix them this year due to coding, but will address for next year”.

I do like pinpoint pitching in general, because it eliminated those random pitches down the middle for no reason whatsoever, but you are right that pinpoint in its current state is a cause for these problems. If only they could balance it out in a way where the control attribute affected how easy/hard it would be to pinpoint that pitch at high % (or even a perfect release). And also maybe make drawing the line harder as the pitcher loses stamina. Stamina as a whole needs an overhaul too, nobody in today's MLB throws 120+ pitches. It's rare even to see a SP complete a full 9 inning game.

But will they really address them next year? Probably not. Lol

I don’t think that’s fair. We all complained about how bad pitching. Was last year with all the floating meatballs and they responded. Now they went TOO far, but give them some credit.

I was thinking the exact same thing. It all depends if my opponent knows how to tunnel pitches with him. If they do, he’s very hard to hit.

This is me exactly. The last 4 times I've faced Ohtani I've had two of the best offensive outputs of any RS game all year and the other two I've combined for like 3 hits. Craziest part is that none of the four opponents had that much of a different approach with pitching with him. It's just that in two of the games I crushed every 4 seam that was thrown and the other two I was constantly late. One guy was able to catch the corners a lot better with Ohtani than anyone else I've seen that's used him but other than that pretty similar approaches.

Wonder if it was a peer to peer connection issue? I swear based connections destroy timing windows in this game.

More than likely and the only internet options I have in the rural area I live in are pretty crappy at the moment so I'm sure that's not helping either.
