I’ve gotten into freeze-offs before, but never like this. I am winning 8-1 in the 3rd inning of a ranked game. My opponent and I got into a freeze-off which has now been going on for almost 10 hours.
- He messaged me saying he is not going to quit because he “never gives up”
- His record is like 40-60 if I remember
- He messaged me saying he wants to waste my time and that he won an 11 day freeze-off before
I know he’s purposely being toxic and trolling but it’s ridiculous at this point of the year. What should I do? I have a 92 win % in ranked and am trying to work to get on the leaderboards.
-
Imagine possibly letting a game console overheat and break just because you want to be on a leaderboard for a video game. Especially when in a few months it won't even matter.
-
Bro, Just let him have his sad little win. Leaderboards don't matter, plus you'll get your wins back.
-
Dude sounds like a major A**. If you want to teach him a lesson, call his bluff. Otherwise move on. Records mean nothing. I was 61-10 at one point but 4 of my losses were disconnects or freeze losses, but I knew strong WS players would work me..
Than I took a bunch of losses going for Trout immediately at start of RS playing goon after goon. So I have seen guys with .500 records that will destroy “smurfs” with 52-8 records who strategically play their RS games to keep a pretty record. At that point I realized it didn’t matter, no one cares.

Wyatt, my record absolutely matters to me, but not for flexing. I play this game purely for fantasy and immersing myself for joy, so it would kill my blood flow to play a conquest game and see a sub .500 record in front of my god squad lol
I agree though. If I see a 58-8 record, it screams out “not elite” to me as well as “kindred spirit” lmao

Just posturing and annoying. I don’t see anything toxic. I saw much worse before I blocked all PSN messages.

It's these kind of posts that make me sad. Just quit. Get over it. Who gives a cares? It's a video game.

Let’s not kid ourselves, my friend. You can play as much as you want and you aren’t going .500, you can flat out play. (I saw Your latest event ranking ). I care To the point that I am not quitting games down a run or two early to drop in rankings and get easy W’s, but I am also not going to lose any sleep on disconnect or freeze off Losses , even when winning if the guy is digging in after a couple hours. As someone said above, life is too short.

I mean, it’s easy enough to turn off your TV and go do literally anything else. I usually smoke a cigar. I’ve also mowed the lawn, ran errands, taken a walk with my wife, gone to bed, etc. Not quitting in a freeze off doesn’t really say anything about a person.

exactly mate - so many kids in this forum have no clue that many of us are older and have real lives, doing real activities, not sitting in mum's basement grinding out RS nonstop
-
Why won’t freezes be addressed by this company? Just talk to us. Let us know what the problem is, and what your plans are. The forum is littered with complaints about the freezes and we haven’t heard a peep about it from the developers. That isn’t right.
-
I think, down seven runs, not quitting in a freeze off says tons.
-
This FO still going? that would be epic
-
This guy is obviously a pile…. But I couldn’t help but giggle at this part ️
“He messaged me saying he is not going to quit because he “never gives up” -
