Tigers have a better chance than the Rangers. Very weak division.
-
Let's Go! Getting a little worried there for a minute it was all talk about spending money but they're walking the talk. Giggity
Does show how this game warps your thinking, am I more excited about the actual player or that'll be a diamond rated Ranger player -
All I know is if the tigers get Baez or worse instead of going all in on Correa or Story I will be a very unhappy camper.
-
Mets are close to signing Scherzer to a multi year deal.
-
Not final yet but looking like 3 years 130 million for Scherzer

Yeah, Correa is definitely the right move for you guys. I was hoping the Cards would try to reunite Arenado and Story but have heard nothing and truthfully they should be going after pitching.
Will be interesting to see where the pieces land now that Semien has set the bar. Correa will pass him, will any of the others?

It may actually have been the Wander Franco signing that set the bar this offseason. If Semien can get 7 years then Correa has to be thinking 8/9 years at over 200 million and where does that leave Seager? Can the Yankees afford to spend that much or close to that on him?

Oh yeah, good call with Wander! Are you a Yankees fan? I feel like a Seager bros reunion in NY would be great and I'm sure Kyle will land in NY with that short porch lefty swing.

Yeah, so far he Cardinals management seem content to give DeJong the shot to keep his job. Plus they could think about bringing Gorman up to play second and shifting Edman to SS.
I'd love to see another pitching signing. Seems like relying on the like of Mikolas, who has pitched less than 50 inning in the last two years, is risky at best. Plus you have Flaherty coming off an injury season.
If the offense can be more consistent, even with dejong in the lineup, then pitching is where help is needed.

No, but it seems like the logical destination. I'm a Cubs fan actually. I was hoping for Correa to go to Chicago but that seems very unlikely now

Oh man, I'm sorry. Im kidding. The Cubs own possibly the greatest world series win of all time (as much as I'd like to think it was our 2011, that doesn't compare to 2016).
I think the Cubs are going to rebound pretty quickly and be back in the mix by 2023.
My Grandpa was from Brooklyn, my grandma was from Chicago, my mom was from St. Louis.
I grew up in a very divided NL house but secretly liked the Cubs for my Grandma. But my mom fed me so I had no choice but to follow the Cards.Breaking news-
Max Scherzer to the Mets (3 years)
Robbie Ray to the Mariners (5 years )

I'm from Vancouver BC but the Cubs have been my team since I was a kid back when Sosa was playing.

He wasnt lowballing money wise, 5 years 160, he just didnt want to give the years. Apparently that is just something he isnt gonna do. I do agree though he will go somewhere that will give the years.
