Babe Ruth or not Babe Ruth … that is the question

So I got the Babe Ruth 99 tonight. And it really wasn’t a decision to make given his power numbers. But I’m wondering how many took Bench or Gagne in the first round and why. If you have a zillion stubs and it didn’t make a difference since you were going to buy them all, say that. Or whatever reason.
Oh, Ruth’s first two AB’s were dingers for me.

I eventually plan to buy them all, but Babe is the obvious choice. I need pitching more than I need hitting, but those attributes are just too good to pass up.

But the truth is, Griffey is better than all 3 put together. That swing is amazing.

Honestly I think the card sucks. I’m only through about 80 AB’s, but I’m hitting like .240 with 4 homers. Seems to have to be p/p to get it out. Tons of warning tracks and lazy fly balls. I have tons of stubs so I have all three, but I took him first figuring those stats were unbeatable. Quite disappointed so far.

I believe they adjusted his swing from last year and even his 42 card because he has been great for me and that hasn't been the case since 2019.

I believe they adjusted his swing from last year and even his 42 card because he has been great for me and that hasn't been the case since 2019.
I hope so, because his 42 card was a singles machine for me......even at Shippett!

He's been coming off my bench because I can't bring myself to take Belli off first or Griffey from right. If I don't start hitting better with Griffey though I'll try Ruth.

Ruth has been amazing as usual. Tons of pop and he’s been fine playing LF for me

Griffey is my favorite player to use in mlbts, Kershaw is my favorite pitcher, so I was pretty upset when he when Griffey was the reward. I will just have to work at it though.

That’s a stretch! Better than all three combined. Have you pitched or played Griffey at catcher?
Just joking I know what you mean. I think Griffey is a great card. I need more ABs to crown him though. The 42 Griffey card was awesome for me online early in the year.

I chose Babe first but sold him back for like 700K. His swing didn't click for me.
Sometimes that happens for me. I don't like a guy's swing at first, so I sell. But then I give them another chance later on and the swing eventually clicks.
But Gagne... Absolutely love him. He's in my top 3 relievers for sure. (with Goose and Aroldis)

Yeah, I agree. I crushed with Babes 42 card. I’m not hitting great with him with the new card yet. A lot of warning track shots. I know parallel 2 or 3 those will be home runs. And yes Gagne is so good. The slow curveball and the Vulcan change are filthy. When you hit them with the fast ball their timing is all messed up.

Monthly Award Votto @ 1st, Prime Morgan @ 2nd, Milestone Larkin @ SS, Finest India @ 3rd, Bench @ C, Finest Winker @ LF, Milestone Griffey @ CF, All-Star Castellanos @ RF.... Pitching is my achilles heal. Not a lot going on there but do have Dibble and Chapman in the BP.

The Reds Squad is Stacked when it comes to Flashback/Legend Cards. You can field a 99 at every position. I've got MS Foster in Left. MS Griffey Jr in Center. Finest Winker in Right. POTM Votto at First. Joe Morgan at Second. MS Larkin at Short. POTM Eugenio at Third and the 94 Diamond Bench or POTM Farmer. (Haven't gotten my Awards Bench Yet or Finest India.) ASG Castellanos, TN Friedl, TN Aquino, TN Moustakas on the Bench.

For real, Cinci is STACKED. Especially now with Hunter at SP.
As for Babe, don't know how paralleling him would help with warning track shots -- he's already maxed out, right?
I'm not really a swing guy -- I think stances and loads have more to do with a player's experience than the actual swing. That being said, Griffey's is the total package, and his no doubt animation is right there with Rosario's and Rickey's.
