The Crash: How Bad Things Got
-
They are live series low rated cards, who really cares? I have tons of these cards sitting in my collection from opening around 1000 packs over the past few weeks. If I really wanted to, I could put up 20+ of many of them at low prices for those that need them.
I guess i dont get the outrage over this. Even if, and that's a big if, the market is being manipulated by SDS, i dont see the low card prices as a negative. It gives everyone a better opportunity at more reasonable card prices, and therefore a better chance at completing collections.

This.....Every time we have a new type of pack drop we see a significant market dip, this was no exception.....and if people are still scrambling to get stubs at this point in the game, well....With RIB, and the inflated margins for the last 2 months, anyone who has made an effort should have made a ton of stubs and not be overly concerned about this dip....Prices will rebound to some extent with the new collection drop...

This is like buying penny stocks and thinking you're a Wall Street Stock Broker...

I was trying to find someway to put it, but essentially this. I'm doing just fine in my corner of the market, it's about being flexible. If one part of the market isn't moving, I just move to the next thing. It's rather easy to build up stubs.
I also never build up inventory, that's an easy way to lose stubs (or lose potential stubs I guess if you are buying at quicksell), I want stuff that moves fast.

I love the dip right now. I've made a couple million in stubs this week and have bought a ton of players I've been wanting and needed for the upcoming collection. I still have about 450k in stubs just waiting to see if I need anything else when it drops. I also have a couple hundred cards to sell so it's a good thing it you planned for it.

I care, I was making stubs off of those cards. As an offline player who doesn't buy stubs with real money, flipping those cards was my primary source of stub income.

yep, there are many people like you who have card with duplicates that have not had a reason to sell them. I have stayed away from LS cards the past 5 months. This crash has effected every type of card people flip. I have flipped alot of different type of cards this year. It just people now have a reason to sell those cards they been hoarding.

I have made tons of stubs and will be good for the collection, I am still flipping for cards I do not have yet, The fact that people are now selling off what they been hoarding cause the they need stubs for the finest packs is the cause of what I flip which is not LS cards. This will pass and I will continue to make stubs flipping cards/ Sometimes you have to change what cards you are flipping to make the most profit instead of worry about other cards. If you have bought cards that you wanted to flip just wait out until TA5 when people will buy card for the exchange that is when LS card will got back up in price.

Totally agree, I have move on to other things to sell that might move faster and instead of buying 5 to 10 of same card I am back to 2 or 3. Still make a profit

I think if you waited this long to try and make stubs off the market you are in trouble. LS are always a source of coins but one we hit the 7th or 8th inning those stubs sources are not reliable and profit margins become much smaller. People are freaking out now, just want until next inning when they rerelease the inning bosses and there is nothing holding value. Again the time to make stubbs was early in the game release, now is the time to be buying up any cards you want to play with for the next month or two.

That is wrong cause I made 1m in stubs the Sat before the Crash of the market. I also do not flip LS cards. I continue to make stubs but with the crash I have moved on to different cards to flip while still flipping the cards that made me a ton of stubs the last 5 months until the crash.

Time to do collections I guess!

I hope our historian SaveFarris is taking copious notes on the Great Crash of 2021.
Last week, new firewall went up at work, so the only way I can access the market is via phone/app, which really hinders my research capabilities.
Also, there’s the small matter of already having every card (not including 9th bosses & the Finest packs) along w/ 3 mill in the bank, so Outside a couple of days last month, I’ve basically been out of the flip game since … August?
I’ve also never been big on investing. When I flip, I’m going for high turnover get-in-get-out. I look at it as any money sunk into holding on to cards is just wasted potential earnings. If long-term investing works for you: great! But I’ve found my way works for me and mostly mitigates the affects of these crashes.

I didn't start flipping until about 2 months ago. I've made a fortune off the backs of hard working mid tier HRD cards and Live series diamonds. I'd personally like to thank Juan Soto, Trevor Story and the top 13 LS s for their patience as I bought and sold like D'Caprio in a Scorsese wall street biopic thriller.

I have been offline only and haven't bought stubs either. My primary source of Show income is playing the game and opening packs. I'm sure I have "lost" tons of stubs in cards I have bought for collections this year from card prices going down but I dont really care. The primary reason you flipped cards was to make stubs to buy cards. Now, you can buy all these cards much cheaper, so that million stubs you accumulated is worth more at this very moment.

Exactly, I would say now is the best time to flip, I guess those biggest tryhards have all the cards they need so they left the market and it is very easy to make stubs now. (what I mean by that is that orders actually go through and no one undercuts me by 1 stub that often) I can easily make 300k per hour while watching netflix. For that reason I was not even crying all day when I realized that I lost almost 1m value of my cards that I bought on Sunday and Monday. I really thought that BR and RS rewards will keep their value. Clueless
And just little advice to Lady, I would change your method, it is not very effective this late of the year.

What should I change my method to?

Ah well, next year I suppose. But what would I move on to? I guess I could exchange my commons and bronzes and whatnot to quick sell golds for 1000, but I still made more stubs by flipping low cards.
