SDS must hate the Twins

I know the Twins didn't have a great season, but Byron Buxton certainly would have been deserving of a finest card over someone like Brandon Nimmo or Frank Schwindel. I know he didn't play that many games this season, but he was highly productive in the time that he did play. And, if you want to make the argument that he didn't play in enough games, then why did Schwindel get a card? He played in fewer games than Buxton. Also, Buxton put up way better numbers compared to Nimmo in far fewer games.
Also, where in the world is Kirby Puckett? It's mid November and we still don[t have his best card. I've waited for many years for him to be in the game only to wait all year for his best card. It seems kinda ridiculous. All of the other big new legends this year have had their best cards released. We still have yet to see a 99 Harmon Killebrew card as well. I sure hope these get released soon,

Each team will be getting one more for TA 5 tomorrow so it very well could be Buxton.
Edit: I saw that there was going to be a Finest Jorge Polanco.
-
It's not him. It's Polanco. They revealed him today.
-
They had Mauer on the cover twice. Maybe if they won something recently or had a great player(s) currently, you'd see more Twins

To be fair, the O’s have two (Means today and Mountcastle coming tomorrow) although they were tied for the worst team in baseball.

Ok I can accept that, but what exactly have the Mets done in recent years? I'm sure most people would agree that they were in no way deserving of 3 finest card this year. Even the Cubs and Orioles are going to have at least 2.

Yep, SDS really hates the Twins.

It probably would've been buxton if he stayed healthy. Unfortunate that he missed a lot of games.

Not sure I get your point there. Sure, SDS has a Twins fan on their staff, but I'm not sure if how much say he would have in actually getting Twins cards into the game. My point is that some of the choicest for these Finest cards didn't seem very deserving compared to other cards they could have given us. Aaron Loup is fine. He had a great season. But, Brandon Nimmo getting a Finest card is ridiculous. His numbers were very mediocre, and this will also give the Mets 3 Finest cards once Team Affinity comes out tomorrow. Yet quite a few other teams will only getting 1 when they deserved more for sure. And again, if you want to say that Buxton didn't deserve one because of how few games he played this year, then why did Schwindel get one? He played in fewer games than Buxton.

Buxton is a glass statue. The guy does not deserve a finest. Maybe he will get one next year when he’s patrolling center for the Dodgers.

The Twins will be better off without him. I love how he started out hot and had one good month so everyone wanted to crown him a great hitter. If he hadn’t gotten hurt he would have gone into a deep deep slump and dragged his average down to .220…..

Sadly, given the Twins awful front office, this will most likely be the case. I doubt he's signing here. Then, he'll go on to win multiple World Series and become a future Hall of Famer. David Ortiz, anyone?

I guess get ready for a ton of cards next year then. The blue Jays got completey forgot about last year and then looked what happened this year.

As a Cubs fan I certainly agree that the Cubs do not deserve 2 Finest cards.

Sure it's possible that would have happened. But, he also raked when he came back in September so I don't think you can really says that. . When he's actually been healthy the past few years he;s been really good at the plate. But yes, that's his major issue is that he's constantly hurt.
Still, there's no way that the Twins would be better off without him. When he's healthy, he provides so much value with his defense and speed alone. And now that he's added much more power to his game, he's become a force at the plate and drives in a lot of runs.

Don’t even compare buxton to Ortiz. I’m a huge Twins fan and I’m praying they let Buxton go. If he’s healthy he’s the best defensive center fielder in the game with speed for days. He will give you average pop with a good BA. Problem is he’s not worth the 20 mil per he’s going to cost. I wouldn’t mind having him back on a base low cost salary with risers if he plays a certain amount of games.

I'm certainly not saying that Buxton will become the next Ortiz, but you never know what he could turn into if he could actually stay healthy, We've all seen the potential that he has. But, I agree that it's probably too much money to devote to a guy that can never stay healthy. I don't think he's signing here anyways, so it's not going to matter. I can tell you I'd sure rather they sign Buxton than Sano. I can't wait for the Twins to get rid of him. All he does is strike out constantly (and usually in key situations) and then hit a meaningless home run every once in while. He's a total defensive liability as well.,

Bro what are you on? Polanco is more deserving than Buxton by a mile. Why would Buxton get a Finest? I don’t think you understand what Finest cards are for. The man didn’t play sooooooo
-
Talk about getting cheated the Rangers will probably get another Ardolis Garcia and leave out....ummm

I didn't say that Polanco wasn't deserving. He's the right choice for the Twins Team Affinity. What I'm saying is that Buxton definitely deserved a Finest Card from one the 2 Finest choice packs that they released this week over guys like Schwindel and Nimmo. By the way, take a look at how many games Schwindel played compared to Buxton. Buxton played 61 games compared to Schwindel's 56. Yet, they still gave Schwindel a Finest card. So, your argument falls pretty flat.
