I've never been able to do it. Last week I was grinding stats for one of the postseason programs and I got 24 with logan webb, but that's the closest I've ever came.

I didn’t realize this actually happened until I looked at the postgame stats but I actually pulled this off. And I did it with the least likely pitcher, 99 no hitter Mike Scott. Now I know that this is a no hitter card and his h/9 is ridiculous but I wouldn’t think that his k/9 would be as high as they are with his pitch selection. His fastball tops out At 95 and his off speed offerings are not overly spectacular. It was only a vs CPU game on rookie but still 27 k’s is not something you expect see at the end of the game.

    How is his splitter? Nasty?

It’s pretty good, but everything looks good on rookie difficulty

At least you acknowledge that it was rookie against cpu and while 17 strikeouts is fairly easy, 27 is a true accomplishment. That's awesome. Same with a perfect game.

I'm excited to give Scott a whirl. How many were swinging I wonder? You should hang the box score on your fridge hahaha.

Funny thing is it wasn’t a perfect game, I walked the second hitter of the game but I played a second game with him after this post and struck out 24 and pitched a perfect game.

I’ll take the 27 k’s no hitter. Something tells me that’s a bigger accomplishment

I agree. You have to stay pretty focused not to give up one pop up or ground ball. I wonder how many balls were even fouled off.

    Nice one man.

Altho. You can just not catch or throw for a force out… I’ll assume you did it the legit way 🤣

I didn’t even realize it til the post game stats were posted. It was totally by accident that it occurred.

I posted about him last year vs CPU. For some reason, CPU hitters cant figure out his splitter. Glad to hear it's similar this year.

I’ve done it quite a few times, but I play a lot of CPU games. I think I did it at least once this week; perhaps with Nolan Ryan. The “arcade” feel of the games on Rookie is relaxing to me after hard work days. The 27 K games are much easier this year than in previous years. I’d say the majority of my games this year have been either perfect games or 1-hitters when I’m playing Rookie CPU. The only games I give up hits are games that I’m pitching to content to get fielding stats.

Now let's see if you can get 28! Drop a third strike, let him get to base, then strike out the next one as well LOL

Very nice. I did the same thing with Verlander a couple months ago while grinding in extra innings. Same scenario too I wasn’t even paying attention to pitching stats I was too busy working on Topps now hitting stats and didn’t realize until the post game stat screen.

Just switch to Directional, hold up and swing with power. It's not exactly cheating.....but....
