I’m new to the game this year…. Do they ever do a 99 Reggie Jackson. It seems like they don’t do the steroid guys, but Reggie or like a 99 Andruw Jones would be pretty cool I think.
99 Reggie is the new daily moments reward for November
-
Oh cool! I haven’t looked at it yet
-
How many games does it take to go from 400 to 500?

So 1 reward for RS and it is a Pitcher and isnt even a "meta" type pitcher? I am baffled. And still no extreme. It is almost like they are trying to run everyone off lol.
Hersh is a pretty popular pitcher, atleast in my circles I follow
He is, or was a couple years ago, but definitely not a solo reward type guy. And definitely not someone that anyone will fear when loading up a game and seeing. I think he would be great with a nice position player next to him. They could have done Lou and Orel and released Willie solo or something IMO. With Wagner in Innings. IDK
He has the “meta” pitches and max hit/9. I understand many (I am not implying you) rely on the outlier quirk. If you decide you don’t like him, sell him. I’m not sure why so people are angry. Is it his velocity?
Competitively speaking yes you need the heat. I am probably not playing anymore H2H this year as it is a mess, so I dont mind using guys that rely more on location and offspeeds. I personally just didnt see him worthy as a solo reward for RS. Like mentioned above if he was paired with a guy like Lou Gehrig or Willie Mays or someone, it probably would have went over much better.
There are 133 people willing to pay 1 million stubs at the moment. I do see what you’re saying though. If you are not a fan of the card, you would rather have a choice than just the one reward. I understand that. Not everyone is going to like a certain player. I disagree that you need to have a pitcher throwing 100+ mph to be competitive. Everyone pitches differently though.
Comparted to thousands last Month for 2 different cards lol. Hersh as a solo reward was stupid.

Roughly 3-5 I'd imagine, that's of course with no losses
-
Do you guys like or dislike the homerun derby’s when you get placed back to all star level games for the new season? I personally think it’s kinda fun, and helps work on pitching. You gotta actually pitch to get outs in those games.

It was to be expected. Last BR was a solo reward as well

Plenty of guys have sinkers and cutter. Its the velo and speed that mess people up. Hes a great card, dont get me wrong. Just isnt worthy of a solo reward.

I was 6th I think lol
Nice! Kirby Yates screwed me up as I saw him and not Hersh at first causing me to lose time. Think I was 30th or so but at least I was able to cancel my 1M bid on Yates quickly

Haha I saw that. Quite a few 1M bids on both Yates and May. Made me chuckle

125 H/9, cutter and a sinker, but okay ig

Well, it's still speed for me. I hate outliers. I played RS last night for the first time in a while and got smoked by Feller and Gibson. It was humiliating. Dudes just laying it in the fat part and me slamming my pci all over the place. Might be done with Ranked, honestly. Wish they had done something worthwhile with Franchise...
-
I guess I'm the only one who hates throwing cutters?
I'm assuming it's because I'm stubborn/stuck in my ways and use classic pitching?
Everyone that loves cutters must use pinpoint?
It's literally my worst pitch. The only guy I was remotely good with a cutter was Mariano.
My best pitches are:
- Slider
- Changeup
- Sinker
- Splitter
Oh and outlier 4 seamers (especially Nolan).

Yes been waiting for that card, Love his cards every year, Still use his 95 from time to time. I was using it to do the PS extra innings missions.

Cutters are awesome with pinpoint. But so is every pitch lol. I love dotting backdoor cutters to freeze people for strike 3

Really depends where you pitch them and for the most part, you need to know your opponents tendencies. Kinda needs to be tunnelled with the 4seam/sinker.
Just for example, if you throw an inside FB and your opponent is very late on it, I wouldn’t counter by throwing a cutter in the same spot. You’re just asking for it being hit over the wall

Fun fact. My late brother was in Elementary school with Hershiser in the 60's in Southfield, Michigan. Orel's family lived in the Detroit area for about six years.
