Ok, so I just got the game, finally.
What are some things that I should know? I have completely tuned out all things MLB The Show, so I know nothing.

Pinpoint pitching is great, finally have control of where your pitches go.
Freezeoffs are still a thing and have been happening increasingly often
Team affinity is loaded and the best way to get a good team fast along with the postseason programs.

Any certain ones to start with?NL East affinity 2 gives Trea Turner, arguably still a top 5 card in the game along with the Jacob Degrom who is a cheat code, (The Albies is pretty solid to from there) . AL East Affinity 3 gives Mantle and Adley. AL Central TA3 gives you solid pitchers like Feller. I'm sure I'm forgetting some players, but those are a good start.
The postseason player programs also give great bats. 99 Chris Taylor from the wild card, 99 Kike Hernandez from the Division series, and 98 Matzek, 99 Eddie Rosario, 99 Yordan Alvarez, and 99 Rafael Devers from CS are all great cards.

Will do! I’ve enjoyed the two hours I’ve played so far. Stinks how far behind everyone I am, but I’m really liking the graphics and gameplay so far. I still feel it’s hard to catch up to high velocity, but maybe that’s just me.

- How do I change my profile to a Cubs logo. Lol
- Who are the glitches, and what is the meta in this game? Anything else I should know about? (I started the LCS conquest already)

Wish I could help you but for two things:
- I only played Franchise mode this year. I never really got into DD in all my years playing the game. My last two years were predominantly RTTS but I switched back to Franchise this year.
- Having said that, I barely even played Franchise mode this year. I just wasn’t enjoying the game. The synthetic drama is even more transparent. I uninstalled 21 and reinstalled 17. Now I’m playing 2K’s Golf.
I would still like to hear your thoughts as a veteran (despite your age) of the game :).

Why? I paid for the game, I get my money’s worth out of it and give an honest review when asked.
I play when I am bored and nothing else to do and when another game I want comes out this one will be put on the shelf for good. That would be about 6 days.

BS on what exactly? The fact I bought the game? The fact I play when I have nothing else to do? Look at my game history if you like, see I’ve played a [censored] load over the last 3 weeks. The month before I barely touched the game and didn’t play one game of RS which is my mode of choice. Or you don’t think I’ll give an honest review?

This game is only good at launch, they ruin hitting and pitching with updates. You will do something that has no answer that will get you banned in the middle of an inning program. The game is trash the developers are even worse, slap sonys anticonsumer ways on top of that and you have sonys future. Buy an Xbox all ps5 "exclusives" will be on pc...... so also Xbox.
