completed all collections, any other reason to keep playing?

Been playing DD since 17, first time ever I got all the collections. got the Kershaw card a week ago.
So is there any other reason to keep playing? Feel like I finished the game. I dont know what the 8th/9th innings will be for unless they add more collections to work towards.

I’m the opposite. I got Kershaw a while back…I have most of the expensive players I want like Bryce, Aroldis, Gossage, Vlad etc….and have been collecting in preparation of the next collection. I have about 3 million stubs.
I’m happy because I can just play online RS games and not really worry about obtaining anything. The opposite of why should I keep going.

What are the chances that they do one more big collection? I don't have the motivation to try for every single card this year and I'm thinking about selling off all my extra stuff, but I'm not sure if I should wait a little longer.

If finishing the collections is the only reason you've been playing this game, you have a looooot of wasted hours under your belt my friend.

I think so too. Kershaw was just too anticlimactic to be the biggest collection reward of the year. And by anticlimactic, I mean both the card itself and the way SDS released it. They pretty much said “Oh btw we added a new collection reward too” and that’s it. You’d think the true final reward would have at least some hype around its release.

There are games within the game within the game. Doing collections is one of them. If that’s all you like doing, then you’ll just have to monitor the app for any remaining collections.
But like others have said, don’t you want to have fun using the cards you worked so hard to collect? The only caveat to that would be if you don’t like playing online. Then it does sort of limit you without an offline DD season of some sort.

I would like to say I agree, but I don't know who it would be at this point. I guess Griffey Jr, or Babe, maybe Pujols, but I cannot see anyone else being big enough. Only collection I see happening right now are maybe the postseason cards, and or the finest cards.

That changes things a bit, but are you not interested in completing the remaining programs? There are still 2 more playoff/world series programs (3 if you haven’t completed the division series), 2-3 more innings with bosses, possibly a TA5 with Finest, and some think there will be another collection.
If what you are asking is: will there be another big collection or was Kershaw the final big reward? Some of us believe there will be a 4th like Babe Ruth or Griffey, others think that was it.
I mean, I understand getting burned out on a game but it would drive me nuts to work this hard to collect Kershaw (obviously you have a huge percentage of cards and programs completed) and then leave whatever is left undone.
I don't play a ton online, it's my first season and I'm really not good enough to compete against the guys on here YET
.But I still enjoy playing the CPU on higher levels of difficulty using the various players I've worked to acquired and getting better as a result. Or worse depending on the day hahaha.
Ultimately it's your time, do whatever makes you happy.
