I think everyone's sleeping on Tatis. He's the cover boy and doesn't have ONE SINGLE flashback card, correct?
He is going to be the Padres finest card. No one is sleeping on him, we just know exactly when he will be released
He will have a 99 Finest

Boss #1 being Chris Sale is a W. He will be good because of his pitching angle. I just hope they don’t do him dirty like Pedro. I hope they give him at least 110 hits per 9. I’m sure his k per 9 will be good. Now I just want to see Babe Ruth so I don’t have to pay 900k for Gehrig.
I will say my thoughts on H/9 again. I don't think pedro, the TA4 pitchers, Kershaw etc. were done dirty on H/9. I don't think the no-hitter cards needed to exist
I mean they messed up early on givijg people such high hits per 9 with outlier. Now you almost need high hits per 9 to be decent. They already opened up the can of worms so they might as well keep it going and give Chris Sale a good card. Otherwise he won’t be the boss being picked.
The problem with that is you can get rid of the No-hitter cards in future games. Signature, Milestones that aren't no hitters, prime, and awards are actually based off of some sort of formula. No hitter cards, future stars, finest, and topps now/monthly are not. I don't know if you have played previous games but guys that get the same card type they got in previous years 99% of the time are the exact same attributes(one notable card that was juiced for whatever reason was Vlad Sr. Signature). For example, Matt Weiters, Donaldson, Machado's awards cards have the exact same attributes as last year. You can't just juice Pedro's H/9 because they messed up with no hitter cards then go back and release signature pedro again in MLB 23 with the attributes he currently has. Its much easier to just deal with it this year and get rid of the no-hitter cards next year
I know the no hitter cards are the best cards in the game. I understand they probably shouldn’t be so much better than the rest of the cards. With that being said though the cards that aren’t no hitter cards are barely usable. Pedro,Strausburg,Greinke, etc are all batting practice,u
Thats because everyone has been accustomed to hitting outlier with near max H/9. Not a problem if those cards that have that don't exist. Greinke was one of the best pitchers in the game in 19. Strasburg has been and always be batting practice so he is pretty irrelevant. Moral of the story is would you rather it be too difficult to hit, which it is now for the majority of the playerbase, or would you rather these "batting practice" pitchers be the same as they are now and Verlander, Degrom, Ryan, etc. to be closer to them. I think most people would rather hit
Of course I’d rather hit. I’d also like to see a usable Chris Sale.If you think Sale will be BP just because he doesn't have max H/9 thats how you know SDS screwed up this year. Sale will still be really good no matter what his H/9 is, but the fact that their is even a discussion about H/9 is a problem. Literally no one complained about per/9s last year at all

I looking forward to Sale. Will he be good without a decent hits per 9 will remain to be seen.

Pedro isnt batting practice.
Disappointing? And could have been better?
Yes. And I'm still bummed the best pitcher of his generation doesn't have a more dominant card. -

Arguably, it doesn’t even matter after the recent pci update. You now don’t need to be anywhere near the ball to hit bombs/foul everything off. They literally ruined what was already a relatively poor gameplay experience.

I'm gonna lower my expectations so I'm not disappointed by whoever the bosses are. My guesses are:
2020 Future Stars Tim Tebow
2018 Prime Chris Davis: from the year he hit .168
2021 Topps Now Stone Garrett: currently the lowest rated live series hitter -

Chris Sale(Heat), Albert Pujols(Power), Babe Ruth(nicknames)
1 out of 3 correct so far
Did they release the name already. Which one? I guessed two of the three you did. Couldn’t decide power.
Milestone Chris Sale. It was posted on Facebook about 15 minutes ago.
Those are the sexiest words anyone has said

Just sold Arrieta to make room in the rotation baby

Seeing Sale tells me it took until the 8th inning but we might finally have a seriously strong boss pack where all 3 bosses will be very good. As someone who never got to use the Sale 99 previous years I like it but I certainly hope he comes along with a Ruth and a lefty crusher to make the showdown a breeze
-
101 h/9 and no outlier. Totally unplayable.
-
Those who guessed Sale, ding ding ding! correct.
He was the first Diamond I had to have back in April, so I bought him then. -
I’m going to laugh my [censored] off when they reveal El Duque And troll the whole community.

Have to disagree with you there. 5th inning was beast. Vlad Sr, Morgan and Ryan. All three are still starting for me. Although I’m trying Rickey and Hank now so Vlad is taking a veteran rest
