Quad XP

The need to have 4x XP implies that SDS knew the timeframe for the program was a mistake. I don't like time limits to programs. Make it harder to complete AFTER a given date, but don't lock it. Too many players have lives outside of MLBtS.

BFD honestly! Hopefully it goes beyond 650K next year if they keep a similar structure to 21.
No matter what they set it to somebody will finish it early and complain that it should go even higher.
Hopefully they keep stats on every inning to know exactly what percentage of players would actually benefit from a higher limit. I think it is safe to say that the overwhelming majority of players never hit the max.
Personally, I don't care as long as they keep the bosses as accessible as they are now. I usually hit the 350K mark only a few days before the next inning, usually thanks to some late collection that was added.

Nothing wrong with the time frame at all. The problem was the server being down Saturday, the day that most have the time to grind. If not for that we'd still be on 2xp.

I am not sure that the timeline was a mistake. They plan for so many innings to happen in a certain window of time. To fit them in one needed to be shorter. I assumed Quad XP had more to do with everyone missing a big chunk of a day worth of play when the servers had issues on a Saturday.
I know time limited content is a big issue for a lot of players but I can see the benefits to SDS.
-
It drives engagement. It keeps more people playing more often. This also goes for double XP weekends.
-
It keeps the boss cards at a reasonable supply.
-
It stops players from procrastinating and never finishing any innings. I know if I had unlimited time then I would procrastinate. Then, after I fell behind two or three innings, I would just give up because the amount of content would be too overwhelming to catch back up.

All good reasons, of course. Especially the boss card supply.
Driving engagement -- yuck. Just despise the attention economy we're all part of now. It's based on addiction theory, ultimately. There's a global psychology experiment happening, we're all part of it, and nobody's explained the fine print to us. Thankfully, people are waking up to it...
I'll just add that, as a teacher, I find it amusing (honestly so) that we now apply the concept of procrastination to a video game. Well done, sir.

Hey, I can apply procrastination to anything (and usually do).
Driving engagement has been around long before it became a video game thing. Shoot, even in baseball, do you think giveaways at games (bobbleheads and such) are anything more than a way to increase fan engagement for home games?

No, of course. But DIGITAL engagement is a different beast. We have the needle and heroin in our back pockets at all times, and that makes all the difference. SM companies and video game companies know this, and people have a lot less resistance to bespoke feeds than they do mass-produced bobbleheads. (I prefer the bobblehead, of course.)

I just finished the 7th inning today. I wish the quadruple XP carried over into the 8th inning program.
For real. That would be cool.

The bosses crashed like crazy! I guess alot of people were just short of 350
Still too high for my liking. Too many flippers out there
I hate how flippers keep cards from dropping to a reasonable buy price.. you see this all the time. A card will be dropping in price but flippers will be doing everything in their power to keep it where it’s at..
[censored] those free markets
SDS should reintroduce order limits

Post of the Year. Tho, for every one waking up I’m afraid five fall into a rabidly defensive denial…which is, of course, symptomatic of addiction. Dopamine is a hell of a drug.

Never. If our respective PSN's mean anything to you, you'd know that I'd never associate with an Alaric. Barbarian.

I managed to compete the program last night because of this. I was got 140k in about 90 minutes playing extra inning games and completing some missions. I wish it was always this easy. I’ve barely played this months program either.
I’ve literally got about 2m in assets I could sell. I just don’t know what to do with it
