All very strong responses.
Was a strong thread
Thanks. Are you looking at my bullpen or not?

I mean, it could be that that's how they decide on a pinch hitter, He knows what pitcher he will face based on who he brings in, he might feel like he hits whatever lefty you are warming up well.
-
Why? What are you hiding in there? Is there a dead body in there?

What a man does in the privacy of his own bullpen is his business.

I don’t know man. Say you have a righty pitching with Chapman and Jansen warming up in the pen. I suck vs Kenley but absolutely destroy Chapman. I might make a move to try and force you to go to Chapman. I’ll sub in a lefty for my righty to see if that makes you go to Chapman before you really want to. I do this a lot before my pitcher’s spot is up so I can have the matchup that I want

So U can get the matchup you want. Why is this a topic, is right. Lmao.

Keep your eyes off my bullpen, son.

Why do they call it taking a dump? Your not taking it anywhere! Something to think about

That’s a good answer, and I get that, but say you have your pitcher’s spot coming up and you are facing a righty. Are you going to pinch hit with another righty? Maybe. But generally not. You are going to pinch hit with a lefty. Now whether it’s Chapman or Hader or Miller, what are you going to do? Odds are, you’ll then pinch hit for a righty. Either way, the same thing is going to happen regardless of which righty or lefty is in the bullpen. Now if you’re talking about subbing out for someone other than your pitcher, you would probably have to have in mind who you were going to pinch hit for, say in a platoon situation. Because the person you’re pinch hitting for would need to play the same fielding position, otherwise you’re burning through a bunch of bench players.

The latter is what I’m talking about. Try to force you to make a move before my pitcher spot. And yes my bench is set up yo where I can sub in anyone and have someone to take his spot or switch things around.
There’s not a spot in my lineup and can’t sub in another player and cover that position

I just checked my opponent’s bullpen in an event game to see what all the fuss was about. It was empty.
