Ok sorry, new to the game and you're right, I do not play events, so I didn't know some of these were only availableduring said event. Thanks to the one person that pointed this out.

You are right, I didn't realize the supply came from events, this makes much more sense. But I still dont get the demand. You dont need these cards to complete any type of collection. Of the cards you mentioned, you need them to complete the Awards and Prime collections, respectively.

I guess the ones I mentioned specifically are events rewards as I was so kindly reminded above which I didn't know because I don't play events. Those therefore were bad examples. I really am trying to understand the market better. I am someone who loves the collection aspect of this game but even I won't pay over 100k for a low 90s diamond that I don't need for anything.
I was curious why some prices were so volatile. Jason Bay prime was 25k before TA4 and now he's 125k. He was not an event reward so why did his price skyrocket while the other two bosses of the same inning more or less remained stable? I'm not sure why some of the other responders felt like insulting me when I was genuinely asking a question and trying to start a discussion about the market so I could better understand it.

New player woes, I'll learn
All the prices went up for Prime and and some other collections because of the Kershaw collection. The people who didn't want him jacked up the buying price for these cards. I wanted to buy Joe Morgan but there's no way I'm paying almost 300k for him. I have Mookie and Jackie which are probably better than him anyway. Eventually I'll have to buy him to get the collection done.

Of course I would think twice in July since I was Penny pinching stubs. At this point I am just trying to acquire every card in the game in case a collection comes out. Or if there is an inning where all 3 bosses are absolute monsters and people aren't selling them, I would possible have to pay 500k for each of the other 2 bosses I didn't earn. For sure, I totally get holding them for future collections. I have Mo, Mookie and am 1 Future Stars card away from Kershaw which I'll have when I finish the AL West TS4 and select Julio Rodriguez.
I am also collecting as many cards as I can because a) I'm a nerd and a total mark for the devs when it comes to collections, b) I like using as many cards as possible.
I get now that the online play rewards, specifically events are way harder to come by. I guess I never noticed in the past because I usually just buy them when they are low. I was simply not understanding what triggered such an extreme hike with some cards, while others in the same collections of better quality either stayed the same or dropped. Several recent t bosses Pedro, Brett, Vlad Sr. Eddie Murray , Kemp etc..dropped considerably on the release of TA4 and I was able to bargain buy the ones I didn't have but at the same time, older bosses like Bay, Mattingly, Morgan and Eckersley skyrocketed. Sometimes it makes total sense. Only 2 primes and 3 FS cards were released in TA4 so I can see why those would be more valuable as it will be harder to complete those collections than Sig series, milestone and awards which had several in TA4. Now that I know about the location tab that detail where these cards were released and are currently available, it definitely makes the event rewards stand out as far more rare.
I'm simply not a good enough hitter yet having only played this game for a few months to compete online past veteran, so I'm not as familiar off the top of my head as to which cards come from events, BR etc. Thanks for taking the time to break this down a bit more, it definitely helps to understand the shifting market beyond the basic roster updates and program releases.

The only card price that doesn't make sense is the Jazz TN card. People are just really too lazy to put in less than 30 minutes of work for it.

I get what you are saying and completely agree...but I could flip and have 30k to buy Jazz in significantly less time than the 30 minutes it takes to complete them. I do the TN moments every week, but sometimes I wonder why I don't just buy the cards since I like playing games more than moments. I think some people can just come by stubs so easily that they will just buy something like the TN each week, so they can use that 30 minutes to play the modes they want.

Yeah man events cards are worth the grind. The difficulty is on all star which is the lowest for online play for BR and events. I don't knownif ranked seasons is ever in veteran even when your rating is 0. I think its always all star at the lowest. If you practice off line on hall of fame you should be able to compete online on all star. Use strike zone hitting camera. A good way to bank stubs all year is winning RS, BR and events cards. You can keep or sell.

Is Baez with buying?
Depends on how many stubs you have, depends on what your collections look like and depends on how you hit with the card. I haven't even used him online. I will use him in the next event for American League and National League central. I do not see him making my rank season's Squad since his contact verse right is under 100. In my opinion I don't think that card is worth what it's going for but it's easy enough just to earn him in a week. The price should also keep going down I would assume

I am just trying to buy all the cards off the Market and grind what I can, I been buying the BR, RS, and Event rewards. I still need to finish grinding the AUG monthly program and TN Moments some in Aug and all of SEP. I need about 15 cards off the Market. i had enough cards to get Kershaw the day it dropped. I picked up Verlander over the weekend. Next on the list will be Donaldson or Eric Davis. I can get to 300-400k stubs in a few days. I am currently at 257k. I was down to 1k after getting Verlander on Sat.

It’s takes a game cycle to understand how it all works; grab cards when you can.
Thanks. I'm definitely learning as I go. I've done pretty well though I still haven't learned the patience and stamina requirex to make stubs by flipping cards. There are Definitely some great cards that I'd like to add but I'm keeping pace pretty well. I need 2 prime cards to finish Kershaw and if there aren't any in the 7th inning I'll probably just over spend for Pee Wee Reese and the Todd-father.
I do appreciate all the tips. Next year I shall focus on playing the market more and online play. This year I just did the grind and earned everything I can through offline programs to learn DD.

This was my 2nd year, last year I didn’t figure out anything till August. Gameplay and the Market are almost two games in-itself; then you can break both down further to Market: Flipping and Roster Updates. And Gameplay: Online and Offline. It’s OUR job to not let it drive you nuts, but once you figure out the market, you can literally have EVERY card and be the worst player on the planet. That realization blew me away, lol!
