Everybody except Shoeless Joe, Pete Rose, and Steve Howe: $$$.
Joe, Pete, Steve: Their bans from MLB most likely preclude them from appearing in MLB-sanctioned products. (It's an open question as to whether this is Roberto Alomar's last year because of this rule.)

I’d and say it’s pretty safe to say this is Alomar’s last year in the game. I’m surprised they didn’t remove his card completely. I don’t even think they will add a better version of him at any point this year.

I feel like some of these players wouldn’t even ask for money.
The only players that would agree to do it for free are the ones you wouldn't want anyway. (Who's up for a 2007 Veteran Matt Kata?)

I mean you’re right. The big names are going to want $$$ but I’m sure there’s more than you think that would take very little incentive.

They didnt remove Alomar completely cause he hasnt been banned yet,id expect it once he is.
As for players its not just about $ and negotiations, there is only so much room in each game, dont know how many players from the alumni assoc or HoF that opted in to the group represent or how many each one makes avail each year... -

Yeah. I agree with their decision to leave the card and (almost certainly) dump him after the year. Same deal with Ozuna getting the massive downgrade relative to his struggles. At the end of the day the game is supposed to be fun and so are legends. Nothing fun about morally gross people on teams and the trolls that exult in using them when there are so many fun players not in the game yet. I don’t feel like playing against the Felipe Vazquez late night calls or the Ty Cobb KKKs from 14 year olds trying to be edgy.

Yea i would love to see a Koufax and Drysdale card in the show...

I’m sure they could get Bobby Bonilla and just space out the payments over like 20 years, worked for the Mets lol.
