The Big Collection

I think it says it on the actual game schedule when you login to the game. It's not on the app schedule odd that they dont match.

It’s going to take me time to finish the big collection. So I am hoping it is not Ken Griffey Jr., as I feel like I can’t play without his card. It has to have the classic Griffey stance, not the stiff one like his mid 90s diamond card. (I know he didn’t wiggle early on).
I hope he is a boss, though I know unlikely, or something I can buy in the market. I am still going after the big collection, just hope it’s Aaron or Foxx; someone that is a high caliber player and a big name. -

BIG TRAIN!!!!!
Edit: I know a lot of people don’t care for the deadball era guys, but I’m stoked. Having a rotation of Johnson, grove, young, and Mathewson is so cool. Bummed that Cobb and Hornsby are out this year, because they are always important pieces in my old farts team. Kaline and teddy bj too, but they are a little more recent I suppose.
You and me both brother. I use Feller as the last one too, TA4 is the best content drop for old timers.

It's going to be Jeter or Tatis Jr. I don't know why ppl keep saying Jeter will sell more copies? This isn't the early 2000's where if we saw a good cover artwork we bought the game. Besides if they want to use Jeter they can market him for 2022 version. Trout would sell copies and he has never been the cover boy. Jeter in the HOF now so they probably have his rights now.
-
So is today just the reveal of who the Big Collection is or does thr collection start today too?

That's now how the rights work. If being in the HOF meant they could be used we'd see many more legends than we have right now.

If that is how it works, and they dont need to negotiate individually if they are in the HOF, then that does make sense on why they would release Jeter mid-season.

I'm thinking the "big collection" is for all TA 4 cards, not an add on to Mookie.
Most people don't have Mookie yet, adding yet another tier to that collection chain would be insane.

Its not how it works though. Cobb, Hornsby and Ted would be in the game this year if that were the case. They have to negotiate individually

Not how it works. If it did work that way they would have most, if not all, of the 330+ MLB HoF'ers.

While I'm not 100% saying Jeter isn't coming to the game mid-season. I am saying tho that he will 100% NOT be the collection reward. In what world would any Jeter card be better than the Mookie we got for part 2? There is no way they would go backwards with the cards when they are harder to unlock.

I assumed that was the case but was intrigued when I saw the post above. I wonder if they have the rights to HOF players that they choose not to put in the game? Like how many people would want a Joe Tinker, Johnny Evers, Frank Chance type HOFers?

What if it’s Trout, with him missing this whole year, it would be kinda nice
If that's the case I'd start posting about how excited I am for the new NHL game
Just me thinking that there was a reason for him not being TA4
That is a good thought but I think they still have to save some decent guys for inning bosses we still have 4 innings left if they follow last years trend.

You guys think this is the very last big collection?
We might see a finest collection

Could be Mantle as well. I was convinced it was Aaron until I saw just how few people have Mookie (especially when compared to say a 5th inning boss or Miggy/Roberto).
Where did you see how few people ha e mookie? Was it on the stream?
I used the parallel 1 stats (assuming that most people who have mookie at least hit that) and then compared it to parallel 1 stats for various other cards.
Gotcha makes sense I got him two thirds past para 4 almost at 5
I think I have him at two

Yeah this should be the final one with the season ending end of Sep early Oct.

interesting. Last year, the "Big Collection" Mike Trout award came out on July 28th. Honus came out July 25th the year before. There were no more big collections after those. If you time this up with the delayed release this year, it works out the be about the same timing. Some people out there are saying they don't think this is going to be the final collection like Trout and Honus....but the timing based on last year seems to indicate that to me. guess we'll find out in about 90 minutes.

Good question. I think they have to pay anyone not currently in the MLBPA and whatever deal they worked out with the minor leaguers. Minor leaguers do not have a union unless they are on a 40-man roster, in which case they would have the MLBPA.

I should be able to have Kershaw tonight when I get home
