I’m probably on the younger side of the player base in DD I’m assuming at 19. So I’m sure a lot of guys in their mid 20s and 30s and up love a lot of the legend cards. But honestly I wish they would do something similar to madden and release better cards of live series players throughout the year at a higher rate. Most live series guys get one big high 90s card and that’s it all year. Madden has the current players get 3-4 upgrades a year. It’s been what, 6 months or so since the release of this game and players like trout, tatis, scherzer, cole, machado, along with a lot of other players have no endgame cards. We’ve had endgame cards since release with 99 collection rewards. I think the issue is having 99s too early. We end up with a bunch of really good cards all having the same attributes in September but just waiting on our favorite players to even get a card.

Machado has an Awards card and Team Affinity 3 was all about giving All Stars 97-99 overalls, along with the Home Run Derby and All Star Game series. There are a few that you mentioned, but I'm sure Tatis, Trout, Scherzer, Cole, Kershaw will still get theirs in due time. And don't forget the Topps Now cards for some of the random performances, along with Monthly Awards cards
-
Shoot I want more older players. I know they would mostly be theme team cards but there’s to many players to choose from throughout the years. We shouldn’t be subjected to the same freaking players year after year. Take my White Sox for instance. I would take a Veteran Joe Crede card over a third Ripken card.
-
For example MLB22 give Ripken a 94 card and make it a legit 94 card and that’s all he has that year. With parallel the card would still be usable(cause it’s not meta so back off). Then MLB23 he gets a 98 card.

And I think jack parkman could replace grandal and his 1 speed.

Manny’s card is pretty lackluster and looks more like a 92-94. Just wishing top names like him and tatis got cards to compete with other meta cards throughout the year instead of to wait all year

I'm 44 and I actually agree with you OP. Maybe it's because I'm coming from 2K (but they WAY overdo the upgrades, with like 10 Lebrons/Giannises) but I could go for 2-3 upgrades of the young stars.
I guess since so many of the most interesting stars from my era are banned from the game for roids, I feel like they're running out of legends I'd care about.
-
What are your feelings on baseball history? When I was younger, i wanted to learn more about Koufax, Frank Robinson, Ty Cobb, Yaz, Mantle, etc. It just seems to me, like younger people now care less about the players that came before. I was huge into the MLB players of that time, with posters and pictures all over my bedroom wall, but also had things of baseball history mixed in.
I know I would have appreciated a game like this, with all the opportunities to utilize historic greats alongside modern day players. I really like history, and baseball history, so maybe it's just me.
-
I think we need some little league World Series future future cards.
Or maybe we go along for a ride with Marty and Doc in the old delorean. Get back to the future cards

As much as I love baseball history and the old guys because my dad is an old head that loves baseball history I can’t help but like the young international guys even more that are making baseball more fun than it ever has been.

As much as I hate maddens gameplay after last year I think MUT does a decent job at giving current guys good cards throughout the year to compete with their legend drops

And us old timers have to wait for Griffey, Ruth, Foxx, Gehrig, Mantle, and so on. We all have to wait for the better versions of players we like.

Honestly I kinda forget that they haven’t put big legends in the game yet. Guess I’m just bored with the content as of right now. They’re just trying to string us along for these next few months
