Catching Animation not Triggering

The last few days, I’ve had a handful of instances where my player was in the middle of the giant ball icon and then a catching animation would not trigger and the ball would fall beside the player. This has not happened all year until now. Has anybody else noticed this?

Was it Vlad Sr? Lucky he has an amazing bat bc his animations suck, taken a few balls off the head so far
