So I played a top 50 player last night on legend

I thought you quit 4 years ago, 3 years ago, 2 years ago , last year and this year?
-
As always thanks for the vivid detail of each game you play!
-
You won one and you lost one, got it.

Played more than two but thanks for showing the typical forum reading comprehension.

And all that to say what?? Not disagreeing with you as I think online play is very hit or miss day in and day out. You have pleaded your case time and time again yet online play still sucks. SDS doesn’t care obviously or have a way to fix it. So where do we go from here??

Royals fans aren't used to winning, so when it happens to our friend here, he's truly in complete shock. His only coping device is our friendly forums.
Not that many years ago, I could buy a ticket to Kauffman for $5 and end up in the Buck O'Neil seat right behind home plate. Loyal fans there in KC, they loyally refuse to support their baseball team.

It just goes to show the difference in one game to another. I scored 5 in first inning one game and even though I scored 7 in the game against the top 50 player, honestly I didn't feel there was any skill involved. More luck imo as the pitch speeds were vastly different that game. I thought the player I scored 5 in the first was a better pitcher also.
I know streamers like OhChev have been seeing these warping pitches more. I am hoping players with his platform will carry a voice as ours is frankly useless. You never see me "complaining" about cards or game play. As far as cards, if one doesn't make my lineup like Kemp for example, there are plenty of people that would enjoy that card and I respect that. As far as game play I think the huge majority of issues you see with game play are a direct result of connection/server issues. I would like to see them improve in this area. One example of this is base stealing. I know when I can steal solely based on how the connection in the game is. If connection is good the base can be stolen. If not, my 99 steal guy will wait until the pitcher [censored] near releases the ball before he runs. I know in those games not to even try. They will and do get caught even on high leg kick off-speed pitches.

As the title states, I played a top 50 player last night. Decided to play some games on legend for the hell of it. One of the games I could actually read and react like I could in real baseball. Look fastball and adjust to off-speed. That person quit in the 1st inning after I was up 5-0. The other games were the typical ball to glove instantly with no time to react and zero pitch recognition.
The game against the top 50 player I take a 2-0 lead. He hit my bat with a couple of pitches. About the 3rd inning, his frustration set in and he started constantly bunt dancing. I was just playing for fun (but he wasn't). Guess he really needed that win. He ends up taking the lead and the bunt dancing stopped. Guess everything was good lol. I could not throw him any sinkers or fastballs inside and I started deGgrom as did he. I, on the other hand, couldn't sniff a fastball. I was late usually even selling out when it left his hand. Somehow started guessing his pitches better later and put up 3 to tie in the 9th and then 2 more to lose by one in the 10th. I honestly couldn't tell you how I scored 7 runs. It felt more like he hit my bat through the course of the game. It wasn't enjoyable by any means. You will also never convince me that people are seeing the same pitch speeds. One game on legend, score 5 in the first. Other legend games have to guess and sell out. So which one is the real legend pitch speed? If it is the one I scored 5 in the first, I would be really hard to beat. If it is the others, game just wouldn't be fun.
It varies…..every time I play those guys on top of the leaderboard they act like it’s a must win game. I guess they want their name visible at the top in order to get clout for their crappy twitch channel.

I get to rating 1000 and stop playing and I like to think I’m pretty good at the game going 23-5 this season just to remember there’s guys that never leave their room and go 80-3 in a span of 3-4 weeks. I’ll never understand how you can take it that serious. Like no social life, no baseball practice, no girlfriend or wife? Just the show?
-
When I said it varies I mean some games it’s easy to hit on legend and some games impossible.
To elaborate on those guys trying hard….they offer a friendly quit if you score first, they never throw the ball in the zone, usually play at some crappy stadium they created with 100 ft fences, paise the game 20 times, have all of the 300 K pitchers, and last but not least have a lefty sidearm CAP pitcher. There is probably more things but I don’t feel like thinking. They really are good players and they are also experts at milking every base or opportunity.

That is when it gets hard…after 1000 keep going one season and try it out. After like 1050 you start getting matched with the top players.

I’d rather just go to the cages and take BP tbh lmao

after 700+ RS games played this cycle you would think you would have figured out what this game is by now. how can you play something so much that you hate?
-
The sky is blue, water is wet, the O’s suck, and demise is complaining about the Show.

Never said they weren't good players but you are not going 300-30 unless you have those games where the ball looks like a beach ball every game. I can't even see the ball on HOF tonight. Every game is try to guess pitch and location for every pitch. Game I scored 5 in the first I could look hard and adjust to soft very easily. That is not most games. I don't think it is a coincidence that every top player I know is fairly close to a server. If the server location is correct, my closest one is a 8-9 hr drive and I see warping pitches all the time. Again, don't think that is a coincidence. Guessing pitches isn't real fun and gets old.

There are so many good cards in the game I don’t even care about spreading my time grinding other modes. I just like to play RS and see how far I can make it.
