Not getting the vaccine does not take you out of the "testing". It just makes you the control groupYes it does, The people who got the vaccines are the ones they are using to see what effects it has on people it is more to find out the bad things that happen then it working on people. They need those numbers to find out how well the vaccine is working. I am not part of any control group, They are misleading with the numbers they put out, they are not reporting people who have bad reactions or died from the vaccine. If the vaccine was so wonderful and working so well how come it is not FDA approved, It has been said not sure if it is facts, That FDA can not approve a vaccine if there is another known cure/other method that works to prevent getting COVID 19. I do my part I am not against the guide lines, not against wearing a mask or any of that stuff I have no problem doing that. Forcing an unproven in testing phase vaccine that is not FDA approved is wrong.

This debate absolutely does not belong here and nothing good will come of this.
Just to add, the hatred that people have for those who CHOOSE not to get vaccinated is insane. It comes out in these posts all the time and is quite disgusting. It seems a high percentage of people who take the vaccine seem to think they are super heroes and are basically in the trenches saving lives. Over 99% survival rate. Stop all the hatred towards your family, friends, neighbors, etc.
You do you buddy. I have no hatred. No empathy either.
That’s fine.
Just curious do you say the same for all those you know who smoke, drink, do drugs, are overweight, and generally don’t take care of themselves? Just asking
Those are life choices that don’t affect anybody else though. Could you say the same for getting vaccinated. Hell if it’s safe enough for Patrick mahomes to get it. It’s safe enough for me. The worlds leading epidemiologists telling you it’s safe but people would rather say it’s gonna turn them into zombies.
IMO you can say the same for getting vaccinated. Being vaccinated does not stop the spread of virus, simply stops you from getting terribly sick and being hospitalized/dying. If I'm vaccinated what do I care if people aren't? Thats their own problem if they end up in the hospital. Being vaccinated I'm going to be as protected as I can possibly be while maintaining a normal lifestyle. The only people the unvaccinated will effect by being unvaccinated are themselves. Don't want to be in the hospital? Get the vaccine. Thats my thought process at least

I didnt see anything about Sandy Hook. But saw a reasonable convo he had with that Dylan dude. There Chipper definitely sounds fine and that DYlan dude sounds like the B*

So imagine you are vaccinated in Florida and you are injured in a car accident. You could die because hospitals are at capacity right now. Insurance companies should treat unvaccinated as a pre-existing condition and it should be considered in any triage situation.

Some facts about the vaccine, it is only FDA approved for emergencies only.
Didnt the Pfizer one get fully approved?
Unless I am mistaken what that article says, then these arent facts lol. I dont really care one way or the other TBH, not saying I dont agree with you necessarily, I just remember hearing this because it was big news.

I agree with you. You can live a normal lifestyle and not be vaccinated, My life was pretty normal this whole time during covid 19 as I went to work everyday I did what I needed to do to say healthy and continue to to so.

Lmao not even close to the same thing. What happens when the drunk is your kids bus driver? What happens when the drug addict wants money and gets your teenage daughter to run her [censored] in the mall? It’s still all good? When the fat dude needs food and your wife is walking outside the store with dinner and he grabs her groceries and purse it’s all good?
It’s almost like things change when they directly affect OTHER people and not just the ignorant individual. That’s the concept some people don’t seem to understand. Mask never helped you, they helped the other person. Drink all you want, get behind the wheel and kill some people and things change.

People who get vaccinated still can carry the virus and spread it. So what exactly are you doing for others?
The people I mentioned have a higher chance of dying from a virus like this based on their lifestyle choices. Never a peep when they’re the ones filling up the hospital beds as long as they are pro-vaccine. Hmmmm
Also I’m going to assume you are quite young based on your Patrick Mahomes comment. Please don’t look to pro athletes/celebrities as your go to health gurus. I don’t recall Mahomes being a doctor or scientist.
You can still get the flu with the flu shot. College age not too young maybe compared to you pretty young young though. If the top athletes in the world are safe with it because the the top epidemiologists say so, then what are you so afraid of. It’s truly the butterfly effect. Your decision could save a life that you’ll never know about with no consequences. You do you though

As others have stated Pfizer was recently approved and I'm sure Moderna is right behind it. I'm not one of those people who thinks you are a piece of [censored] for not getting the vaccine but full disclosure I do think it makes you ignorant and I question where you get your information from. I could prove to be wrong one day but at the moment, all the evidence and facts point toward the logical intelligent thing to do is get vaccinated. -

The thing is, I’m not afraid. What are you afraid of? So you’re saying unvaccinated people spread the virus and vaccinated don’t? What if someone gets the vaccine, spreads the virus to someone and they die from it. What’s your stance on that? That’s baseball Susan?

Pfizer is 91% effective that only with 22,000 people I look at the FDA Approval read on it up the numbers. 22,000 is a small number. A healthy person is over 98 percent to recover and there are other known things you can do to prevent you from getting covid along with protecting others. The vaccine is still only 91 percent effective that is only with a 6 month trail phase.
-
For me personally, I haven't gotten the vaccine because covid poses no real threat to me or my family. If I get it I'll be sick for a few days and then go on with my life. Why do I need a vaccine for what essentially would be a bad cold for me? I have almost as good of a chance of being struck by lightning as dying from covid, doesn't seem vaccine worthy to me. That said for people who do get vaccinated I have no problem with that, good on you. Honestly I don't care either way what other people do, I just don't have a reason for myself to need the vaccine.

I do know personally if you do what you are suppose to do with all the knowledge and you are doing what you can to protect you and others you do not need the vaccine. If you feel you need it great and if it is effective for you great I hope you stay healthy with no side effect or long term health issues down the road. God Bless all of us whether you got the vaccine or not.

More important, keep what is going on overseas and Hurricane Ida in your thoughts and if you pray keep them in your prayers.
