Wtf is up with pitching?
-
I pitch a shut for 8 innings, relief pitcher comes in the 9th allows 6, runs. He's benched the next relief comes in and pitches through the 12th inning and we win. That pitcher gets the win. What about my 8 innings shutout? And why does this happen every time I pitch? Usually results in a loss, I almost peed when we won after 12 this time.

Maybe you should ask "WTF is up with MY pitching?" All you have to do is add one little two-letter word and you have the correct question!
Then you need to figure out the correct answer to the correct question!

Lol good one but try and read the post.
I pitch a shutout for 8 innings, the relief pitcher comes in the 9th and 9 times out of 10 it's a loss. I've had games we were up by 7 and the relief allows 8 runs.
Then this game I pitch a shutout relief comes in and allows runs 2nd relief comes in and saves the game in the 12th. So he gets the win, but nothing is said about the 8 innings shutout I pitched, why? How's that work?

Sounds like you changed pitchers and the other guy struggled against him and hit the next reliever pretty well. Pretty common. Plus those starters when pitching well get maxed out confidence and going to the bullpen just opens the door for your opponent to come back.

Sounds like OP is playing RTTS, as a pitcher.

The starter needs to complete the game for it to be considered a shutout

Ha! You're right, it does look like he was talking RTTS! That does happen a lot to me as well, even if I got a 99 overall in AA!

This happens in conquest too on just about all difficulties. Starter cruises with no hits against, tires, you put in any reliever and the AI will homer shortly.
The way I “fixed” it vs the AI is bring in another starter and throw 2 blatant balls to first batter faced. You can also use your tiring starter to get the AI batter to 2 strikes and bring in anyone, get the K and you are 99% safe from the obligatory AI homer off new pitcher.

Starting pitcher leaves game with the lead,he is in line for the win.
relievers allow the game to be tied , that reliever gets a blown save and the starter is no longer in line for win. the pitcher who is the pitcher when the team takes the lead would be in line for the win. -
