This is a terrible take. Forget the rewards? Lol nah thats the reason to play events. I would rather parallel my mookie, vlad sr, or any other useful card. Topps now is zzzzzzzzzzzz..........
I like the events that force you to use cards you wouldn't normally use. That is literally the entire purpose of events, not to parallel your ranked team. The previous like 5 or 6 events you could use your best cards. Whats the harm in changing it up?
Honestly I'm more annoyed by the rewards than the actual event. The paralleling is a plus but I can def use new cards. The altuve and darvish won't make my lineup and won't be needed for the next big collection if you already do all the Topps now moments and monthly lightning programs. These two cards will more than likely be extra. I will still earn them though. Not much else to do online.

Madden doing the job for them of keeping us around this game. What have they dropped. Superstar promo with 8 players and a couple flashbacks and heavyweights tomorrow. A new pack promo on Friday. That’s their release content lol. Didn’t even drop team diamonds which was available at launch last year.

Yea that doesn’t help but the content is trash too. A solid flow of good content will cover up a lot of bad stuff in the game. Can’t do both poorly tho.

They've taken a LARGE group of legends and provided us with NOTHING to improve on them.
The ones they have, get dwarfed by nonsense TN or Fake Series.
I have more fun weeding my neighbor's yard with a pair of safety scissors, than I have playing MLB right now on this content release schedule.

I don't like this argument. At this time last year we had way more. What we're experiencing is a company trying to draw the game out as long as possible and milk the cycle without giving us some of the key things we bought the dang game for (Legends).
At this time last year the season had just started and we hadn’t had 4 months of Topps now or monthly awards cards.
I guess the argument is TA3 should have been legends instead of this years all-stars but We still have 4 more innings after the current.
We did have Monthly Awards cards (Correa, etc.). As for Topps Now, there's maybe one or two that should be in anyone's lineup past niche uses. At this time last year, the bosses were Maddux, Rollins, Musial and the Old Timers Program was already out. This year is clearly being milked beyond belief, and simply saying "well it's better than EA and Madden" is holding SDS to an alarmingly low standard.
Battlefield is coming bro

I would argue that they are sticking to their plan and not being to reactive to other releases.
They know how many players are likely to leave an go play Madden as the would have active user data from the past 4 years so show the changes when Madden drops.
If you react you may make a mistake in haste that does more damage in the long run then its benefits in the short term

I would commit to saying you don't need them it's possible you may need 1 of them to complete the next Topps Now collection.

As a casual player, I as well am getting bored with what they are dropping. This past weekend for example, I had the topps moments to complete and the conquest map which I got done Friday. Again, I'm a casual player, lucky to get an hour or 2 every night or so. When i got on yesterday, there was just really nothing to do.........I started playing psychonauts 2, and to be honest.....I'm more engaged w/ that game right now, than to come back to play the player program. I logged in for my daily yesterday and got Vlad which i was happy about, but other than the 5 min, Its just become....stale.

God of War 4 might still be really cheap in the PS Store right now. Absolutely magnificent game that I played while taking a couple week break from MLB.

RS program, BR program and events all have great rewards. There has never been more to do in this game than this year.
