Whoever makes these decisions needs to be replaced. This year's content has been lackluster to say the least.. Even if they drop Pedro and Babe this inning it will still not be enough. I would guess 1% of the MLBTS players will ever use that Kemp. There's so many top players people are still waiting for that this feels like a bit of a troll.

The problem is too many end game players, why is luis urias a 96, need to chill with the topps now content and a 99 kemp wouldn’t look so bad.

Literally the only difference between Matt Kemp's 2011 season and Alfonso Soriano's 2006 is that Matt Kemp had 39 Homeruns instead of 41.
Kemp also has a better BA, OPS, and pretty much everything else that year too.

This is my first year playing DD. I actually like this card a lot and love the thought of a 99 Kemp. I am curious though...when do a lot of these guys (specifically CF's) come...Mantle, Griffey, Trout, Mays, etc.? I know they hold the big guys to keep people playing, but I am hoping it is at least before the end of the year.

Griffey will probably be 9th inning, think he was his own boss last year for 10th inning, I assume these guys will get released in numerous ways, player programs, the extreme program usually has a couple big cards in it as well.

I disagree. I guess I could have said it in a different way though. You can't really compare last year to this year. This year is a whole new ballgame. It's time they start giving us the big boys. I've been patient along with many others. My only gripe this year is the content. I don't wanna wait 9 months for Griffey, Aaron, Pedro etc.. The list goes on and on. It would be nice to have usuable cards of them by now. I appreciate the cards they have been giving out and some have been really nice. Others way too juiced. Either way, I don't know what they're waiting for. That 97 joke of a Pujols card that dropped last week says it all. Who would sit there and honestly say they are excited for that?

As a D-backs fan, I have hated the Dodgers ever since they peed in our pool after clinching the division in 2013. So watching Kemp hit a couple bombs in Chase stadium in the reveal video has triggered me.
I look forward to bosses 2 and 3.

It's to keep people playing. In 18 they dropped those kind of dudes in july and even the most hardcore players stopped playing in mid august

I thought it was mantle and now that it’s kemp, even if he has great attributes, I’m extremely disappointed.

Fair enough. I guess this has crystallized my thinking that there are just too many 99s. I think that rating should be reserved for the best players of all time/Hall of Famers, not "this guy finished 2nd in NL MVP once".
But that's a whole can of worms that goes directly towards the structure of different card series like milestones and others.

I understand but its out of hand with the ratings, i get that it allows for line up diversity but [censored], that Urias card might be one of the better 3B cards in the game. We have reached end game a little too soon IMO.

Maddux is among best pitchers of all time, same as Pedro.
Musial is among best hitters of all time, obviously short of Ruth but at least somewhat comparable.
Rollins more than doubles Kemp in WAR.Kemp is an outlier for sure among those 6 players. It's like including Longoria in that collection last year with Hoffman, Seaver, and Ruth.
