Perfect reason why I stay away from online play

Just realized I gat I'm going to have to get either Hits with Yankees batters or Ks with White Sox pitchers online to complete the FOD Program; unless I want to deal with the fiasco what is Showdown
Went into an Event game with a lineup full if Yankees hitters and Sox pitchers knowing that I'm only trying for Ks and Hits and will probably be outmatched.
Match up with someone rocking a WS Icon and this POS bunt dances and spans R2 the first two innings.
Quit before the end of the second inning.
Enjoy the cheap win scrub.

Online used to be on skill and hand-eye coordination, now it's pure luck and game of chance.

You will get a few players like that. I find that a majority of my games online are absent of shenanigans. The k’s were the easiest to get. A lot of guys in event will just come out first pitch swinging.

Worst case give the event a few more days since it's fresh, and all the players that want all the rewards will get them, and cash out so you might have an easier time getting what you need.

So if you don’t care about your record and he was bunt dancing why didn’t you just quit right away? It takes 2 minutes to get into another game

For the K's dont throw strikes until they prove they have a eye. You can run into alot of players that dont have an eye or dont swing early to get a feel for how you pitch and you can sometimes steal a few k's.

Ok so are wins in the current 6 inning event applying to that FOD mission? I thought I was SOL because the FOD event is over...

Not the wins. But if you don't want to play Showdown you need to get the Hits with Yankees players or Ks with White Sox pitchers in online games.
Easier to try in Events than it is in Ranked or BR.

BS!! The TA3 Showdown was by far the easiest, and most fun. I’ve tried the FOD Showdown several times and just can’t beat it. I’m not claiming to be even close to good, but god [censored] man.

If you’re struggling to get missions down in FOD Showdown then it will probably be more of the same online. Most players can tell after a few batters if they’re going to actually have to pitch to a player or not. Showdowns are built around plate discipline if you ask me. If you have poor plate discipline then you’re going to struggle. I’f you have solid-good discipline you’ll be fine.

If I got all day and I get the bunt dancers I will just allow the full 8 seconds to auto select my pitch then wait another 5 or 6 seconds and then step off the mound. We can make this game last an hour if you want it’s up to them. These guys usually dashboard anyway once you hit your first homer.

I have not played a single game of online all year, havent spent any real money on stubs, and I have just as much progress as anyone else. Have 99 Ohtani, 99 Acuna, finished Live Series, almost to 99 Mookie as well. Online play isnt needed, its much faster to rank up and superfactor players but its definitely more fun for me to play offline.

I dont have any problems with Showdown and I swing away. I usually try to get the exit velo perk for first 2 pitches of each AB. Some people love the lucky 7 perk, but I will never see a 7th pitch, lol.
