Just want to thank you all for continuing this thread every day. I work thirds, and I basically look at this at noon if I last that long to see what it is, and whether or not I do........it's such a big help to know what you have to get yourself into with these. I actually hit a home run with a legit starting pitcher. Granted offline. A conquest game against Detroit on All Star against Tarik Skubal. Figured I'd see what MadBum had left in the tank as a bronze for fun. Went up big quick. Kept him in to hit. Of all pitchers it was him. Low inside fastball WITH A NO DOUBT animation no less!

Not surprised MadBum broke the spell. Surprised I've played 4 installments of the game, and today it FINALLY happens.

Closest I ever came before believe it or not was online with the Tigers Team Affinity Edwin Jackson card from The Show 18 in an event game. Literally a foot away from going over the wall.

Plus I opened a standard pack and pulled LS Goldy so the Cards are done cheap now

If JRam is anything remotely close to his Monthly Award card from past year, he should definitely be a desirable card as a Cleveland Baseball Team Fan.

Wow..........5th try. Gapper into left center field off a power swing low fastball I crushed. The ball gets to the catcher as I've passed 3rd, and he gets it a few feet in front of home plate almost next to the line.......and he just WAITS there in the same spot!!!! He ends up missing the tag on Clemente. Inside the park hr. Moment done. Chalk this one to sheer stupid luck. Contreras had more than enough time to move a foot and be able to tag Clemente. Crazy.

My most hated are the 3 hits in one game. Not get on base 3 times. 3 hits. I've played nearly every daily moment since launch, and the WORST daily moment was trying to get 3 hits with Mickey Mantle against the A's. Those are the absolute most, undisputed demoralizing moments for me. The 8 total base ones seem bad on paper, but 90% of the time they give you somebody good at the plate where its seemingly less of a hassle, and give you a good chance with favorable matchups between hitting stance, and the starting pitcher you're dealing with 2-3 or more of your abs.

He was suspended, not fired. IMO it sounded like he was referencing Looney Tunes and it was taken the wrong way. What has me fired up is that he was suspended AFTER he made a very sincere apology.

Shohei and Maddon aren’t offended by what he said. The majority of fans I’ve seen are against his suspension.

What really gets me is that Bob Brenly wasn’t suspended.

It certainly sounds to me like Morris meant no harm and was just having a bit of fun, but you have to be so careful these days. I think he'll be back just needs to take a break for a bit.

I agree, and that’s the sad part. It’s like nobody can say anything anymore without someone getting offended. IMO it’s not healthy to have to walk on eggshells with every word.

I think it was inappropriate but I don't think the punishment matches the 'crime'. Additionally, it's literally being labeled as Jack Morris uses racial slur on YouTube. That's simply ludicrous. Poor use of cultural appropriation to try to add a joking tone to how to pitch to Ohtani? Absolutely. Malicious racial slur? Not even close.

Agreed. Google it. I'm really disappointed in society. I feel like it's mostly 'woke' Caucasian folks overcompensating. If we want to talk about Asian injustice let's talk about how we practically no coaches or managers of Asian descent in the major leagues. That's something to care about that actually impacts the Asian baseball community.

Ichiro was such a phenomenal player, I’m surprised he doesn’t have a coaching/managerial job (that I’m aware of).

I do agree that it’s Caucasians who are trying to overcompensate. Personally I don’t think it’s any of their business to determine what is best for another group—the same goes for all groups. Problems aside, we are a lot better off than we were 50 years ago, equality-wise. This kind of stuff threatens that achievement.

To Bally Sports and all the other people/corporations that are doing this kind of thing—how about instead of focusing on what makes us different, we focus on what makes us similar.

All they care about is the bottom line regarding $$$$ and the least amount of any sort of negative publicity as possible.

As a lifelong Clevelander, and "Indians" fan, I'm severely disappointed, sad, and angry.

It was an inevitability that was already announced, and known, but it doesn't make it any better knowing now it's official.

I understand to some people Chief Wahoo was deemed insensitive, and racist to people, but ultimately it existed, and I feel like the History of Baseball is being tarnished, and erased regardless of people's opinions or beliefs on the matter.

I was disgusted when Jim Thome's plaque in the Hall of Fame had him wearing a Block C on his hat, and I'm disgusted by this even more.

Chief Wahoo was a massive hotbed of controversy, but to change the name of the team entirely...........It never needed to go that far. I guess Louis Sockalexis, and the vast Heritage, and History of Native Americans in northeast Ohio historically means absolutely nothing to anybody relevant here.........It's a sad day.

I finally decided to bite the bullet as well after getting off work this morning, and try to go for 5 wins/16 FoD program points since the event ends tomorrow.........Took a couple hours. Sure definitely was a little lucky too with a disconnect W, and a couple quit Ws with a lead. 5 wins.

As much as I have sincere disdain for trying to hit online and not being able to time up just about anything with good placement whatsoever in addition to in my opinion having a very underwhelming team for this event having 0 All Star players, and 0 Stage 2 legend diamonds.........Another example of a self proclaimed not good player got it done. If you're reading this.......It's possible!!!!!!!!!!!

I've bought this game every year since 17'. It breaks my heart that I didn't play 16' in its life cycle because that was the best one online game play wise. My friend will buy it next year, but I will not. I'm done paying for the game. Patches ruin it every single year.

First try. No doubter home run to left field, a perfect perfect warning track flyout to center (surprise surprise), hard groundball single up the middle, and a double to right that Yordan Alvarez dived for and missed by about 5 feet. Honestly dumbfounded I beat this so easily. Especially when I heard it was Rendon's meh live series card. I'm chalking it up to luck more than anything.

It's pretty embarrassing that they go to these annoying lengths on daily moments for a card nobody wants to actually use in Cy Young.

As far as pitching goes this year......if you are using pinpoint stick with that the entire time. While it is brand new this year, it is by far leaps and bounds better than analog, meter, and pulse. Figure out the pitchers you like to use regarding their timing, and find guys with pitch selections you like because once you can get their stuff down on pinpoint.......you'll be able to really maximize your skills with them on the mound.

Hitting is a whole different breed. Stick to zone, and don't look back. Find whatever is comfortable for you most with your pci settings, and whatever hitting camera you're most comfortable with. It's also not always about the cards with the highest or best stats either......Sometimes it really just comes down to the guys that you like regarding their swing, stance, timing...........It actually does go a long way on that front.

Take some BP with the best/fastest pitchers in the game to time up fastballs while also getting the offspeed paint dotting specialists..............and a monitor would definitely help if you really want to give yourself the best opportunities to succeed online at your max potential. Hope any of this helps you.

I actually pulled the 93 Breakout Eddie Matthews from my free scouting report pack. And also LS Cronenworth who just went diamond yesterday so technically a 2 diamond pack haha.

I bought Morgan in hopes of a nice profit down the line, but will give him a shot at 2nd in the meantime. Otherwise I've rolled with Robbie as well for the most part.

563 Feet. Shibe Park. Online event game in the Show 18. 2000 A's Jason Giambi hardware card. Made it all the way onto the roofs of the houses across the street in right field easily.

Worst case give the event a few more days since it's fresh, and all the players that want all the rewards will get them, and cash out so you might have an easier time getting what you need.
