Will we be able to buy a PS five before PS six comes out
I'm lucky I got my PS5 in December, I thought they would be available mainstream in April, what hap?
mishandling of the pandemic, declaring some things absolutely necessary and others irrelevant. instead of coming up with a plan they created a big mess then fought over how to clean up the mess

I think between the bots and I believe a chip shortage it has been rough. I want one but dont have the time or patience to monitor restock dates. Also not paying the upcharge from resllers.
I monitor the restock dates but it doesn’t matter. They are gone in seconds.

You have to be lucky and in the right place at the right time.
Luckily I was on vacation when I finally scored on 7/15.
It helps immensely to be a GameStop PowerUp Rewards member as they'll send you an email when there's a restock. You get first cracks. I also followed Matt Swider on Twitter who gave the heads up when the next restock dropped. Minutes later the email came in.
After many frustrating tries I got one. I had to buy a bundle, but didn't care. Mine showed up on a Sunday. I opened the box, saw the system, which was bigger than I thought and shed a -
I figured more people would preorder systems. There was enough of a heads up for time to save money IMO. I started saving about $50-$100 a month and was able to preorder a PS5 and Xbox Series X and had no issues. Also, I dont see a problem paying a little more if its something I really wanted. 99 times out of 100 you will be buying from a regular person amd not a bot. I was able to get 5 systems for friends for between $600 and $625 on craigslist and FB marketplace. An extra 50-75 dollars shouldn't be a decision maker if you're already willing to spend 550+. Best of luck though for real. Nobody expected shortages to last through summer.

Nice topic.
As frustrating as being PS5-less is, at least this made me chuckle.
As far as this game, you aren't missing anything. Just quicker load times, but the same lazy port with no major upgrades. You actually cant even add your own music on PS5, not a HUGE deal and it's a decent soundtrack, but only so many times I can hear Onyx loading up

I forget what site it was, but I used a site that constantly scans stock and sends updates through telegram. They do sell fast but I got both the series x and PS5 months ago by using that

Stockx….

I can't afford a PS5 without trading in my PS4 first, so I pretty much have no choice but to wait until they start being stocked in physical stores. Yeah it's gonna be awhile for me lol.
-
I overpaid for one when they first came out. I was on the fence about it, but I'm glad I did now.

Not when gamestop offers the bundles there not. If you don't mind paying for a couple gift cards and an extra contoller its the easiest way to get one

I managed to get one by literally making it my life for 2 weeks, trying every pre-sale etc.
It can be done, just got to be lucky and literally, spend your whole life on it!
Or.. just wait

I was able to get 14 XSX and 4 PS5. 1 XSX was for me and the rest were for friends and fam. Gotta be quick wit it
-
Yeah I refuse to pay $300 more for something that should be $400-$500. It’s the principle of it. I’m thinking maybe Christmas they might be a little more available but I probably won’t buy one unless I buy MLB 22 at this point. I’m in no rush.

I got mine from Best Buy in the early Spring thanks to the restock alerts on Twitter.
It's hard to fault Sony as most companies are having trouble getting the required microchips and parts. Shortage for parts due to the pandemic has been a recurring theme. We have had a number of issues getting parts for copiers and printers where I work. At one of my accounts, the elevator has been out for months, waiting for parts to come in.

A friend of mine worked at Walmart and saw they were getting a shipment of 8 so we sat outside the entrance from 12 am to opening time at 7 while tons of Karen’s showed up at 6:45 thinking they could race us to the back. Workers gave us papers with a number on it and they were soooo mad. Walmart stopped doing in store ps5 sales after that but I secured the bag
