Pinpoint Pitching with Felix, Degrom, and Cabrera is just too overpowered. Its just not fun to hit anymore...Would much rather lose 7-6 than 2-1...
Stick to allstar. Anything above is just zzzz.
Exactly, i just have fun in the beginning of a new season until i get to 700 and then i just put the game away until the next! haha
-
lol i only have fun in HOF
i find all star too cheap and legend too ridiculous -
there should be no difference in the style you choose they should all be the same. The problem is there options are becomming to much like a mini game and thats why people feel that it should be better than the good ole meter because they won there mini game and this is a very silpery slope because whats next u need to win a game of tic-tac-tow to get a hit
-
Played a WS player in the 750 range, lost 1-0. He had 7 hits, i had 1. Is that fun, for anyone?!
Tanked a few, played someone in the 450s, i lost 4-3, but i had 11 hits. There we go. I had fun!!!

Let me ask you this. So when YOU are pitching, do you want to throw dots? Or would you prefer your pitches to not go where you intend them if you have a perfect pitch? It goes both ways.
Maybe a “perfect pitch” shouldn’t be so easily executed if you don’t want random results. It’s pretty hard to square up a ball and hit a bomb. Should be hard to split the edge of the strike zone every pitch also.
I totally agree with that. Pitching in general needs to be more on point with hitting. Pitching is def OP compared to hitting. My only gripe about this thread was the complaining about the opponent throwing perfect pitches, when in reality you can throw perfect pitches too. Pitching is so much easier compared to hitting. Idk the best way to "fix" it though.
What if they just opened up the timing windows by a few milliseconds on either side of neutral. -

I'm sure everyone wants to throw dots with THEIR preferred pitching mode. Why should anyone be forced to use something they are not comfortable with? And why should they be punished for their choice with pitches aimed down and in at the pitchers legs (say righty vs lefty), with perfect release that floats straight down the middle and into the hitters wheel house? It's stupid and makes 0 sense! If you don't use pinpoint, you aren't going to win as many games as those using it, it's simple as that. They may as well take every other pitching mode out of the game at this point.
I completely agree, there should only be pinpoint pitching and PCI hitting level playing field, I'm a terrible hitter but a pretty good pitcher I rely on my pitching to win games. If I throw a good pitch it is a good pitch, if I square up a ball it's a hit and same with throwing button accuracy only, if I hit my window its a good throw and if I don't it isn't. You want to keep everything else in offline than that's fine, but everyone should use the same methods for online play.

This definitely hits it on the nose

A little update for everyone after playing tonight. Felix just threw a 142 pitch game against me in which 97% were on each corner of the plate...

Funny how SDS can’t come to a happy median. I mean I feel HOF is legend pitch speeds from last year and legend is a different level. But pitching has made hitting harder once u go out of allstar. Only those top 100 guys are hitting well
Sounds like it separates the men from the boys this year. Not everyone can react and flick the stick like the top tier. Kudos to them.
-
Great, so the people that can't hack it in HoF or Legendary tank so they can feel better about themselves getting to rough up the poor chaps who legit struggle on Allstar already as it is. Fun!
I'm not a great or good player myself online but I would definitely say I'm above average with a 44-27 record in WS. I wondered why I always came across so many players with great stats and good to great stick skills in the 400-600 range.
I really want to like RS but I just can't, it's a sweat fest even in the lower levels and the rewards aren't even worth the hassle. You have to get to 900 or 40 wins to get the reward, which is a single card choice. Big whoop! There should be some kind of reward track that dwarfs all the other reward tracks, even the inning reward tracks. At the end of the day, RS is and should be considered the end game after all. I mean you build your team and make your lineups and rotations for 9 inning games vs. other players and their teams with the the cards you amass playing the game. There should be better rewards.

a big issue with pitch speeds is just a matter of online lag due to P2P connections. a 99mph fastball on HOF compared to the same pitch offline have two different timing windows. Doesn't matter how good your internet is there will always be some type of lag between your input and the response being received by the host. This is why being the home team is such a huge advantage.

I would rather the game did this..
You pitch
There is a 1 second delay where the pitch goes to the batter. It acts like it’s CPU offline. The game knows where the pitch is going to be and what pitch it is. So why can’t the game make it appear like it’s offline gameplay?
The batter hits. There is another short delay for the shot like there is now.
I don’t know if it’s this is possible but I would rather have the 1 second delay per pitch if it was smooth.

It could work for pitching, but for base running, impossible i think.

Can't hack it. Good one. Fix the [censored] connections/servers/match making so I'm not seeing 110 mph pitches with zero pitch recognition. I would be more than happy to play HOF and/or legend.
For the record, [censored] happens in all star too. Sorry, no I don't feel bad when I am getting one hit by Crochet in all star because he is throwing 110 mph. Happens a lot.

It just happens to either be bad connection or two bad players because when connection is good and I’m playing someone who’s good I’m afraid even on legend
Connection definitely has a lot to do with it
