I’ve made WS pretty quickly all 5 seasons now and have a pretty good record and gone 12-0 but I still feel like I’m not even close to the best players in the game guys rated 1100+. What is it that separates them? Just spending that much more time to be good at the game? Cheating using a zen? Because I really doubt that little response time difference can really cause you to be THAT good and have unreal records like 200-20. I’ve said before even the best ball clubs in real life take 2 out of 3 but winning 90% of your games is absurd

Their plate discipline is absurd. I’ve played 3 or 4 guys with top 50 banners, including pitching rebel, and they barely swing at anything remotely close to being out of the zone.

Plate discispline and reading pitches. Crazy to me how some of those guys can really notice that that electric slider that's coming in is going to end up half an inch off the plate for ball 4 lol. It's beyond me.

Pitch recognition, plate discipline and extremely subtle and precise PCI placement.

I’d say 95% of players are PCI jammers. That’s why you never pitch on the corners

The difference in my opinion is that the (borderline) top50 players don't miss when they get a mistake pitch. They capitalize on almost every opportunity, as where the above average player will still miss multiple times during crucial moments in the game. They also adapt and read better than the average player. You better have a pitching strategy that has variety, because believe it or not, people pitch so predictable on every level. I usually have my opponent figured out by the end of the 3rd inning and I know his tendencies and as a result I know what to look for. The really good players are aware of this and mix it up constantly to keep it a guessing game. It seems easy and straight forward, but trust me it's not. We all make that mistake to some extent.

They are good players but the response time in this game is huge. Those games where you see the ball great and get rewarded for every swing, that is almost every game for them.

I played the same top 50 player in both RS and an event. RS game was on legend and this person scored 12 runs on 20 hits and every good swing was almost center of the pci. I have a sub 3 era in this game and that is using all types of pitchers. In the event, he had 1 hit and zero runs. So you could say I thought his WS game on legend was more than shady.

I've played 1 top 50 guy and it was last year, and frankly its like everyone has said, they have incredible eyes at the plate. They also are great at picking out what patterns you use to pitch and then conversely they hide their patterns very well.
