Yeah, someone pointed that out almost as soon as the new moments dropped.
I am going to just stop at Felix and only try the showdown again (I failed on first attempt) if I absolutely need Clemente for the fifth inning program points. Even then I won't give it more than a few tries. If I truly want Vlad or one of the other bosses then I can buy them.
The good thing about playing strictly offline is I don't NEED any player to succeed and play the conquest maps. I may want them but I don't need them.

That sucks but in all honesty the FOD showdown is one of the easier ones. You get 25 outs in the final showdown and most of the mini bosses you only need to score 2 runs when you start with guys on base.
That's all relative to skill level. I failed on the Jim Palmer boss. I think it was him. Some bad play and some bad luck on my part.

I totally understand people's frustration with showdowns. The pitchers hit the black with no Stamina or confidence and every common fielder makes once in a lifetime plays out there. Definitely the most frustrating of offline modes -
My advice for Showdown is to be patient at the plate. They are by far the most inaccurate of any mode. In the Lefty showdown I didn't even get a single hit. He walked all my batters and hit the last one. And the Felix showdown at the end is the easiest so far this year. He doesn't throw fast at all and you can pick a couple pitches and sit on them. I was down 5 runs if I remember correctly and finished it with 21 outs left. You can def do it. Just grind out til the final mission and try it. Also, idk if this is still a thing or not but in showdown of you're down by more than 4 runs they won't try to throw you out when you steal a base.. Steal to third and knock them in anyway possible.

Yeah, I had the same issue. I went to one online game and pitches All Star Lance Lynn and Liam and got my White Sox strikeouts and finally got it done, I really struggled with this showdown. Ok the other ones were fine to me.

I hate SD because of the time you have to devote to it, but I beat this one pretty easily. 12/13 moments and beat Felix on two swings in the final SD. Single on his first pitch and a 2 run HR with Adam Dunn to win it. Took me almost 2 hours, but that's all.

I understand being upset at remarkable catches by bronze fielders, but pick 2 strike perks and wait until 2 strikes to swing. Give yourself every advantage.

I'll give it a try. It's just strange that they would add those moments and they only add up to 98 pts without online or showdown play. Two points are missing.
Makes me wonder if they didn't do their math right XD

Okay, by my count: There's 8 stat missions @ 5 points each, so 40 points. 15 moments @ 2 points, and 2 more @ 4 points, so 38 points total. 20 points for the conquest, and 20 for the showdown. By my count that's a total of 118 points available offline.
What exactly is the issue here? You can't get it without having to actually mindlessly play against a dumbed down CPU? I guess then you should just settle for the 99 overall pitcher, although not sure how necessary that is if all you do is play against a dumbed down CPU.

I don't hate on you and other online/showdown players for playing those modes, so don't hate on me for only playing the modes I want to play. Sound fair?
The reason I avoid showdown is because it's so frustrating. I have enough stressful things in my life without showdown and online adding onto that. If you have a problem with how I play, that's your business, not mine. No need to be a Karen.

Is thst necessary to be like that? Not everyone wants to play online. Not everyone is good online. Some people struggle at one thing while u might struggle against something else. No need to be a d$$k about it. You could've just read it and kept it moving. We all get older but we don't all grow up.

I just don't get why you're so butthurt that all you get is a 99 overall pitcher, and for a little more effort you get a FREE 99 overall outfielder. I ESPECIALLY don't get the dismay when clearly you spend most of your time running up the score against the computer against the CPU on low difficulties.
This is peak participation award mentality.
