This is why I hate zone hitting

I get talked down to for using pure analogue meanwhile zone players can hit home runs like this:https://imgur.com/a/cLa8Bkq
Meanwhile the only way I can get a hit is if I time things perfectly and even then it's more likely to be weak contact. And I'm ok with this but don't lecture me about how zone players are the epitome of all skill when your pci placement is just as random as my cpu doing it but you get hard hits for not even landing it.

I lost my only CPU game this year during conquest yesterday. Of all difficulties it was on Vet. Every single ball I hit was a line out or pop up to the track. Vlad Jr it a HR on a ball the PCI never touched on an inside FB. Biggest BS ever. This game literally cheated me...

forget what ppl say. if you are comfortable w/ analog then use it. i like directional after years of using zone.

Did you travel in a time machine from 2015 when you couldn’t foul off pitches that bounce to the plate and bums used to use directional or whatever and hit very late bombs haha?

Straight up serious question.. how can you tell it was zone? I’ve always wondered how people can tell. Does it not move at all when it’s directional? I guess I just figured it moved for whatever type of hitting and if someone didn’t move their pci I just took it as they were center swinging..

If it’s directional, it doesn’t show a pci at all, just the timing and where the ball is.

Just saying but I'm guessing that was Monthly Awards Glasnow. Simply put, the pitcher attributes are going to have a big effect on batted ball outcomes. With the same PCI placement, hitting against a 91 overall pitcher vs a 96, more balls will land for hits and more will leave the park, everything else being equal. The same goes for hitters, with higher attributes you get better results on mishits, and worse attributes will produce crappier results.
I found this out the difficult way during the previous set of events without having any of the TA players done. I was constantly at a disadvantage before I grinded them out.

I can usually tell when I see a guy consistently getting very hard contact or perfect-perfects on pitches in the corners or outside the zone. This almost never happens with directional or analogue.
