The OP knows what people mean when they say content is free and everyone else on here knows what they mean too, but I guess some people are just determined to be negative about everything, even if it means starting a trivial argument about semantics.

What's next? A post about how this is the worst game ever because some random free agent common has the wrong hair color?

Negative? Far from it. I actually love this game. I'm not very good at yet but that's not stopping me from playing it.

I guess what I'm mainly saying here when people say cards are free they are referring to the offline content and not the online content. Like they feel you don't truly earn these cards if you don't go head to head with other players and win to get them. As if these offline cards are handouts, everyone gets a trophy kind of thought process.

Just because you enjoy what you are doing does not mean you are not SPENDING time doing it. Time is a valuable resource. At least to me.

So if you pay to see a movie, did you pay twice? Once with money and once with time?

Did you use your credit card? If the answer was no than it is free. The whole time is money arguement really does not apply. Do you get paid to sleep? Paid to watch Netflix? Paid to go to the park with your kids?

Wait, you can get paid to watch Netflix?!?

You can't compare the two, you actually interact with the game and it interacts back as a service. You watch a movie but you don't play it.

For some reason this post has gone off the rails in a entirely different direction. Like I said in a previous post, when these people refer to "free" cards they seem to refer to the offline content and not the online content for some reason. Either way you earn the cards by playing the game, they are not given away for "free".

So you’re telling me you can get Chipper without buying a single card from the market? You must have some pack luck.

Either way your logic is flawed. You can’t get headliners or special packs simply through playing. You need to spend your stubs on the market to acquire them

Well you can, but headliners are as far from guaranteed as possible and base round is almost a certainty. So base round cards could be considered free I suppose

I agree to that extent but for instance, the Mo and Mookie collection pretty much requires you to have most of headliners. No way someone pulls them all from free packs

This is just ridiculous. Everyone who says free means they are not buying the card with stubs..The OP knows this but just wants to argue for the sake of arguing. No one who says its free is saying it's because offline vs online like you are trying to make it out...It's for one reason and one reason only....You don't have to spend stubs to get it.

My logic is flawed how exactly? The only cards you can't get without buying are the expired rewards cards from past game modes. But when they were available to get, all you had to do was just play the game to get them. Playing the market flipping and investing is technically playing the game still. The only free cards and stubs you get are from daily login bonuses if I'm not mistaken. So technically you don't have to play the game to get rewarded but just log in everyday. And we all know nobody does that and doesn't end up playing the game at some point.

My main argument still stands though, these cards in these programs and game modes are not "free" you still have to earn them by playing the game and if you don't get them that way you still have to earn the stubs to buy them by playing the game still or by working the market.

And how do you get those stubs? By playing the game and earning them.

I’m gonna make this as simple as I can because you’re really annoying it’s ridiculous. All I’m saying is when people talk about “free”, it means without purchasing with stubs.

SDS uses Stubs as a recognized means of currency in game. They DO NOT recognize anyone’s time as currency.

Therefore, people say a card is free when they do not need to spend any recognized currency in the game (Stubs)
