I got Clemente in 15 online wins. No Conquest. No Showdown. Just stat missions. EZPZ
Easy for you. Those that hate online play for a variety of reasons will find it to be hell. I would guess there are modes you would hate to play even though they may be “easy”.
Play another human being that you can think along with or beat your head against the wall playing Showdown? EZPZ
Again, “easy” is subjective. There’s no sense in having a discussion with you. You are just a troll with a superiority complex.
For a second there I thought your screen name was Ray Lewis 187. Remember that knife thing?
Thank you for making my point.

I cant wait for the post regarding Extreme Conquest and Showdown which i imagine should be eliminated also. I play both online and offline and even franchise.
I wouldn’t complain about either as I know ahead of time I won’t bother with it. With this program, they snuck in the showdown or online requirement to finish the program.
Exactly! That’s what infuriates me.

Not to split hairs, but I believe the term "easy" would be more construed as "relative" as opposed to subjective. The poster, in reference, was drawing a comparison to other modes when using the expression "easy".
So, I understand your intent and it's perfectly OK. Just not perfect English, and there is nothing at all wrong with that. But for future reference, consider my instruction.

Not trying to say anyone is right or wrong in this deal...just trying to provide a different perspective, especially if SDS really does read this stuff. In my opinion this has been a very fair and pretty cool program. It really is a bit of everything and there are an few ways to get to the end of it. Diamond Dynasty is not an online mode and it is not an offline mode...it is a mode designed around card collecting and some cards are obtained online and some offline. There are programs like Topps Now, POTM, Daily Moments, Evolution, etc. that really are only offline and an "online" player has to to play offline if they want those cards. There is a path with this program that allows a fully "offline" player to complete the program...where there are many programs that do not give the "online" player the same luxury.
-
Just stop lying to us that the showdown challenges are veteran. BS. The pitching is unreal for veteran so just say its custom and good luck. I am slowly making my way through it and I will beat it but I f’ing hate it.

I understand where you are coming from. It would be great for SDS to offer more online options to complete those programs for online players. I think the big thing is they snuck in that requirement and you wouldn’t notice until you did the math that you would be short without showdown or online.

It's not like the only option is Showdown... you could skip showdown and play online for the points or skip online and play showdown. I like showdown a lot better than moments. They are never going to just giveaway 99s.... you have to play a little bit to earn them.
The point is that we don't play online. They made showdown our only option.
And it sucks!

I've never understood the hatred toward Showdown and I guess I never will.

I have started playing more online, but for the most part have been an offline player. I really wish there were more offline modes...even if you didn't obtain cards. I just get a bit nervous anytime someone says "take away showdown" or "take away moments". There really are not many offline modes in the first place.

The idea of online is interesting but everytime I try I feel like someone who has never driven before but finds themselves in the Daytona 500. Quick murdering, hardly any objectives completed and back where I was before I tried.

I don’t have complainants about the variety of offline modes other than a reason to use your DD team for nine inning games.

I’d like to point out that if SDS hadn’t done this—if they hadn’t forced offline players to choose between dealing with showdown or playing online—we wouldn’t be arguing about it in the first place. Like making someone choose between having something heavy drop on their foot, or shutting a car door on their hand. Another reason why it’s a despicable move on their part.

Stop trying to force these modes that people hate on us. They should be optional to complete a program (for offline players). Moments are the worst. No one says, "I can't wait for more moments". They say, "I HAVE to do these real quick to get back to playing what I actually enjoy".
If you're going to force showdown on us, you can't let disconnects lead to not getting the runs or failing completely. This has happened to me several times. For a casual player like me, runs are crucial. Maybe I am wrong and just venting because I hate this mode and it is causing me stress that I won't complete a program but I think I have some valid points that SDS needs to hear.I believe SDS is merely trying to spread some variety to the many diverse gamers out here and their ever spanning thirst for quantity not quality.
Just give Showdown a chance. The Devs are doing the best they can to be creative and accommodating to all. It's a tightrope they must walk.
I have played that showdown five times now. Three times I failed the first mini boss. The other two I failed at the second mini boss. So much time wasted for nothing. Go ahead and flame me for being bad at the game. I never sniffed online to bother anyone else online playing the game. I have zero issues doing more moments (which I know many players hate) or higher stat missions to make up for it.
Don’t feel bad man. I’ve been struggling with this showdown too. Also I Love the user name.

Exactly. Moments and showdowns are both fine and I wouldn't have a problem with them if they were optional side modes and not the meat of the offline DD structure.
I dont know why its so hard to give us a mode that lets us play 9 inning games with our DD squad with some kind of structure and rewards.

I dont get that argument at all. I've said this before, but I suppose it's due to the games I played growing up all being this way. Galaga (or Asteroids, or Centipede, or Mrs Pac Man, or whatever countless other games) were all built the same way. You played until you were out of lives, and had to start over from the beginning.
I see Showdown for what it is, a boss battle game where it's not completed until you beat the final boss. To me, there shouldnt be restart points, or save points. I don't see the problem with it, but then again, I'm just an old guy who grew up with games being that way.
-
I say this to provide perspective. I'm an average player at best, and I found Showdowns this year to be pretty simple to complete. You just have to be patient and take pitches, get velocity boost perks, and keep speed on your bench. Obviously you want power hitters, but don't underestimate contact.
I think it should stay because once you get the hang of it, it's actually a pretty good way to train yourself and unlock programs.

It's been mentioned quite often previously, but a Squad Battles type mode would fill the "9 inning game with your DD squad" hole perfectly. It's the logical next addition.
