How is this Possible?

I just upgraded my internet-- 50/5 download/upload speed, wired connection.
I don't play on a monitor, but it is a brand new tv, and has "game mode".
I was hoping this would improve online play, but I'm still getting disconnects, comical lag plays, and just got kicked out of a game (I was losing anyway, but I never quit).Question: If my opponents internet is lousy, does that make my upgrade pointless?
Are the servers so bad that even a good wired connection doesn't prevent dropped games?
Is a monitor that essential?I think online games should have a disclaimer attached stating that you need the following "video and internet requirements to enjoy online play."

Wish i had an answer for you. My internet speeds are significantly slower than yours and in 100 ranked online games I’ve yet to have a single disconnect or lag

Nothing to do with internet man just bugs in the game. A guy dash boarded me last night in a BR game after Escobars 2nd HR and it gave the friendly quit message after. So nothing counted. Game is a joke

What’s frustrating is sometimes it doesn’t matter what your speed is, your ISP might just have bad service. Some people have spectrum/etc. and love it but some people in other areas think it’s the worst. But there might be something you can do about it. What’s your NAT type when you speed test? Test a couple times in a row, maybe even different times during the day. Do you use your ISP’s equipment?

Internet isn't the issue for the majority of us, unless you're losing a connection to the actual internet.
I have 250/50 Fiber and I have the same issues you do.

Check your NAT should be open.
Latency and packet loss are also important.
Most games are good for me but I do have some laggy messes here and there.

I think I am the king of weak hits against me and non-pci hr's. I think it was Friday night I had 4 non-pci hr's against me in 2 games. Warping pitch speeds are more prevalent now too.
In my experience it gets worse. A lot of the people that deal with this stuff move on to Madden which means the majority of the people left are the ones that don't see this stuff very much. That means more issues for the players that are already seeing them.
Ball has been hand to glove instantly for me on HOF. Yet, certain people can turn on 102 legend like it is slow pitch softball. The advantage certain people have is ridiculous and won't be fixed without server/match making adjustments.

I have 500/25 Mbps internet and I play on a mid-range monitor for about a month ... Tell you the truth it's all about their server connection but it definitely help switching for a monitor. Also check the DNS server do a research on Google like PS4/5 DNS server it help me a bit.

He’s a PlayStation player so NAT doesn’t figure into his issue. He’ll be a type 2 NAT which translates to moderate. On the PS network an open NAT is bad. As his system is totally vulnerable as it sits outside of his ISP’s firewall. The only people on PSN who should try for type 1 NAT or Open are those who are hosting gaming lobbies or are acting in an administrative capacity.

Servers are closer on the coast.
This is absolutely not true!!! The east server is based in New Jersey, South is out of Florida, central is Chicago, Texas has its own server and the Midwest is out of Denver, the west is out of LA.

We all would. But, content is cheap...really-really-really cheap..in more ways than one.
A stable and balanced network infrastructure...the opposite of really-really-really cheap. As long as people keep buying a company is not going to overhaul their infrastructure.

There is no way that a sports game is going to enlist dedicated servers. Those servers cost upwards of a 100,000 bucks a day. And that’s just to lease the server. Then you have to pay an outside company to maintain and service those servers. The only reason Call of Duty can use dedicated servers is their games are not on a yearly life cycle. Meaning that each COD iteration has multiple years of relevance. And there subscriber base is approximately 100 times the size of our subscriber base. The end of a COD lifecycle might see a larger base still playing that game 3-4 years after launch. They can afford to shell out 20-30 million a year for dedicated servers.

Thanks for shattering my hopes! But yeah I know I’m dreaming. Lol what does fifa play on? I feel like I hear a lot of people say how fifa plays better online than the show. I imagine though they bring in a lot of money since soccer is big worldwide. I’ll settle for a ping indicator like they used to have for the show years ago. Atleast I can back out if someone is bad. Would help avoid some bad games
