With Madden coming out Thursday (EA Play) - Is there a big drop off in Diamond Dynasty?

I'm so glad this game finally came out for xbox so now I don't feel the need to pay for ea to make the same game over and over again

I have around 110 RS games played and well over that in events games.
I can count on 1 hand the number of players I played that resorted to BS in games that honestly made it not worth playing.
The game play does that far more than the players IMO so I dunno what type of people yall are playing but for me it's not really the players making the game a frustrating experience.

Is it coming out Thursday? I might quit MLB for the year. I don’t like the outcomes on batted balls vs pci placement and the timing windows feel messed up this year.
Hopefully next year the game will feel right.

Lucky you. Of course I never said anything about not worth playing. This is by far my favorite game. But there are some donks out there. Especially earlier in the year.

I've played vs that. 1 player in all my games was like that. He attempted a bunt every pitch.
All I'm saying is that I think people grossly over exaggerate the level of toxicity they experience in a game.
I've seen streamers [censored] ("oh we got an R2 cheeser") about a person who uses R2 every few innings.

I don't think Madden will have that much of an effect. Sports games are as seasonal as the sport they represent. When I bought The Show this year it was just excitement about MLB starting in general. Thought the game could compliment and, was I ever wrong, reflect the real game.
So, MLB season is winding down so a lot of customers have already lost interest. Specially if their teams are long out of it.
And, these online sports games just get stale. I've read 2 months is when fall-off starts and by 3 months about 50% of the original customer base has moved on to other diversions. That's why you see the pattern about 4 months in (when online play has turned into a ghosttown) they start all these give-aways of coveted players..99 Diamond in the Show..similar in FIFA and MAdden.
Just to keep and, potentially, draw some players in so those few that remain actually have someone to play against online. Nothing spells the end of a game's cycle more than a great absence of online opponents.
I went back and played FIFA for the first time after December (In 5 years of playing FUT) and built a team of players (in about 1 week) that I couldn't have touched even one during the initial 3 months of release last September.
But, I've already found it's fairly boring having a team loaded with the best. When everyone else you play does too. I acquired the players, which was kinda fun doing the objectives, and am burnt on that game again.

What sports game doesn't suck online most of the time? FIFA can be a disaster, and it's been said by a forum full of ppl in here how erratic this game is.

If you leave "The Show" for the garbage that is current Madden, good riddance. There is not a more disgraceful sports franchise. Madden 22 is less deep than Madden 05. The game has gone backwards in ways that should be impossible. They made a BILLION....actually OVER a BILLION dollars in there MUT game (the Diamond Dynasty of Madden) last year, and claim they dont have the resources for such trivialities as putting the referees back on in the game.
Whether you want refs or not, its not a resource issue. EA has built a giant corporation of liars and thieves that chooses to put out a roster update every year. After an online rebellion last year, they blessed their player base by putting BACK IN features that used to be in the game...well, supposedly. I believe nothing until i see it. The idea of innovating....pfffft...yeah right. They have to make sure Spongebob Squarepants gets his own product placement.
The NCAA game from a decade ago, puts current Madden to shame. How is that possible?
I used to be a huge Madden fan. Bought it ever year. Eventually you get sick of being ripped off, or you bend over and learn to enjoy the ride.
I walked away. The Show is a million times better in every way. MUT is a disgrace compared to Diamond Dynasty.People just keep giving EA their money though, so why would they truly change their MO. Its like the govt. It will treat you like a peon and a fool until you stop accepting it.

That’s a fair point. I have never really played fifa online. Madden and 2k are straight garbage though. I’d rather give up off pci home runs than play either.

It seems like everything else depends the amount of time u put into it… I had a 98 overall team with all 99 starters and didn’t put. A dollar into madden

Same....bot of these games you can play for FREE. I don't get why people spend a ton of money....unless they're professional youtubers that get paid to open packs. Otherwise....it's rather easy to maintain a competitive team throughout the year (IMO)

I have no desire to play football; in August. I play games on a seasonal basis. Just doesnt feel like football when it is a hundred degrees out everyday. I usually get Madden fever around Thanksgiving time but Franchise has been so bad and that is all I will play. Online isnt fun at all on Madden to me. It feels like a rushed game of football with certain plays that are always called to get the advantage. Its fun if you like that type of game, but it aint football.

Madden is so bad online. It’s 100% about making adjustments that glitch the AI. They patch that and another YouTube channel has the newest glitch.
I had a nice run on madden but will never play again.
