I’m not interested in this Votto card one bit so I guess I’ll be selling those Topps Now cards and the 42 series card too. I’m always looking forward to a POTM card but when you have 25 speed and average defense it’s basically a home run or nothing. You might get lucky and have a ball ricochet of the wall and get a double or triple but this card isn’t even worth it in my opinion. I’m sure somebody will absolutely love this card but I don’t see how anyone could take him over the other beastly first baseman cards.
Is this card a huge L or am I bugging?

Votto will be good for team builds but yes it's the 75/100k in free stubs that can be earned that I'm most excited for. This is why I make sure i have all the Tops Now players going into the POTM programs.

They're not all going to be great. My thoughts is 2/4 of these lightnings have been big wins (for when they dropped) while I've never used Semien nor will I use Votto.
He will get me Mookie tho as soon as I'm done with the program

You can expect that many people will consider the POTM cards for the rest of the year to be underwhelming. Theoretically the card is supposed to represent his July performance. It is not like he suddenly improved his speed that month.

True. Votto had a good 7 game stretch in July and I totally understand why he got POTM. It’s still not enough for me to go after him though. I don’t expect them to change his real life attributes. And his real life attributes are he’s not
I totally understand why Votto got the POTM card. He had a crazy 7 games stretch. As far as them upping his attributes I know isn’t going to happen. They try to make it somewhat realistic. And a realistic Votto right now is great power,average defense and terrible speed. Not a top 3 first baseman in the game. Still have a lot of respect for him as a ball player though. 37 in any sport is getting up there in age.

Ok. Yeah I never thought about that. This is my first year playing the Show because I’m an XBOX player. I have over 1 million stubs right now but I think I might still sell the Topps Now cards and maybe go for Mookie or some elite pitchers. I dunno yet.

There is a topps now collection and potm collection, both of which cost nothing if you play the moments/do the program. You also need at least 1 of them to get mookie.
Just makes sense to get them both done

That could be epic, you could have Bellinger/Tatis/Blackmon/Mondesi/Castellanos/Josh Bell/Carpenter

It's not an L, because he simply was .legit July POM.
POM, not Superman Of The Month. If Taillon won, he wouldn't have outlier on every pitch.
I feel it would be hard to top Buxton, still the best POM.
I see this card as a tribute/Respek card. Can't just magically grant him 80+ speed.
Just scoop the Program cards along the way and bank that 5th inning program XP we get. -
I don’t play topps now moments so I would have to spend stubs to get some cards and I’m not doing that for a 99 overall first baseman with no secondary. I already have three of those. Hard pass on Votto

I actually lost $ on Votto. I thought with the collections there was no way that the TN cards would go down but they did. Many went all the way to QS. My only hope is that in 2 months SDS has a collect all Lightning collection with 2020 Lightning Tatis as the reward. Might be able to recoup by then. Fingers crossed.

Hold on to them until the market goes back up. There’s too many on the market right now. So there’s an influx but eventually a lot of people will/need that card.

Yea I don't need the stubs I was just speculating it seems like every other POTM is good. So the next one hopefully will be great. Just bought 30 of each of the TN that came out today in the 5-6k range. I always have $ in play sometimes I lose but mostly I win.

Cuz I've had Jackie since end of May... Went right after him after Chipper was done
I got Jackie about the same time. I’ve had him long enough that I’m kinda bored of using him. I still think he’s the best lead off guy in the game. There really isn’t any flaws with that card besides the fact that he doesn’t hit that many homers for me. I might have 30 some but I got Trout around the same time and I have 70+ with him.
