Anyone think the big collection is Pujols?

My Guess is Joe DiMaggio. Just a hunch.
I really would love to have a DiMaggio card in this game, but I don’t think they would drop a player that big without him having a card already. You could be right though; I guess we will see.

Pujos def deserves a card but for the big collection? I wouldn’t be all about that. Shoot even Hank has what a 94. Heck +5 gonna do. DiMaggio would be best
The 94 has plenty of room for improvement

Clemente…

I think clemente will be the babe ruth type program personally. He makes more sense there because really he will just be a slower Jackie in the outfield.

I would say Pujols, Mantle or Hank. Pujols because he is retiring. Mantle is a 5 tool fan favorite. Hank is a new legend and the real HR king.
Only homerun king I know is named Barry foh w the bs
You know without the cream and the clear Barry doesn't sniff Hank Aaron.

Completely agree. I hate when people try to compare people of the current generation to players of the past in any sport. The technology and medicine of today gives athletes many advantages of the players of yesteryear. Also rule and safety changes makes it impossible to compare as well.

Q which is it the rules or the dope? Yall don't know what excuse you need facts are Barry is the best ball player of any sport ever nobody dominated like him and nobody ever will hate all you want just cuz you're emotional doesn't change the facts

Who's emotional? I'm just stating the truth. Fact is Barry Bonds was a sure fire HOF'er before he did the cream and the clear. He was a tremendous baseball talent. However, he would have never got up to Hank without it though. If you don't think that had anything to do with you are delusional.
-
I’m hoping for Pujols. It would be nice to have his best card earlier in the year. Depending on the type of card and the year, it should have LF and 3B secondary positions.

You need to stop sugercoating it. Bonds was a pretty good player, but a sure fire hof'er he was not. Maybe he would have made it, maybe he wouldn't have. Without the juice he never would have become the feared hitter he became.
I'm completely against drug enhancement, and don't think mlb went far enough. Rodriguez and other's like him wouldn't have gotten a year suspension, but lifetime. If it can be proven you knowingly took ped's, you're out.
I despise Bonds more than any of them. By cheating he took what is probably baseball's highest recognition (hr title), and wish mlb would remove his stats and give the title back to Aaron. -

Dude Barry had 400 homers and stolen bases before he started juicing, he was for sure a hall of famer

I think he was a sure HOF'er before it was completely obvious he was using performance enhancing substances. To me that is the tragedy of it. He ruined all the hard work and accomplishments he had in the early part of his career by cheating later in his career.

Hank Aaron was facing garbage pitchers. You can't compare the 2. Bonds was twice the athlete Aaron was or could have dreamed of being..

You obviously know nothing about 60's pitchers, and that until 69 Aaron had to deal with a heigthened mound and an expanded strike zone. Take the juice away from Bonds, and you have Aaron #1 in hrs, 3rd in hits, and first in rbi's. You're right about there being no comparison, but it's Bonds who paled.

@dcmo3_PSN
Dude, I agree Aaron is still HR king but to act like Bonds was anything less than an amazing player with or without steroids is just embarrassing. The cheating taints all his accomplishments and will always cause the what if questions but you just look foolish saying he wasn't great. Taking steroids doesn't give you the ability to put the bat on the ball. -

Your right....Bonds was a great hitter with and without steroids.....but calling the pitchers Aaron was facing garbage? Just Bob Gibson, Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Jim Bunning, Juan Marichal, Steve Carlton, Phil Niekro, Don Sutton, Fergie Jenkins, Tom Seaver, Warren Spahn, Rodin Roberts....and I am sure I am missing many more. C'mon, thats just silly talk.
It's difficult to compare players of different era's, Aaron played in much larger parks in the first 13 years of his career before moving to Atlanta, then through the deadball era of the late 60's. Once things normalized, he mashed HR's at a crazy pace this first few years of the 1970's.
Bonds played in difficult hitters parks as well, but in an era much more conducive for HR's (along with PED's). Most of the parks of the 90's and 2000's were more a bit more homer friendly as well.
They were both wonderful players for sure, but impossible to truly compare them.

Rodriguez, at least to my eye, didn't look much different but he was still on them. I suspect Bonds started using when he left Pittsburgh, as his numbers went up. He was 28, which to me is kind of late for the switch to go off, and became something that was considerably better. It wasn't until later when he decided to massively bulk up.

I think we should make a note of every name mentioned in this thread and cross it off the list of possibilities, because the community really sucks at guessing these things.
I predict that the reveal will spark a wave of whiny complaint posts, because whoever it is won't match the awesomeness of the unrealistic dream scenarios that people have swirling around in their heads.
